Fresh off losing to champion Jannik Sinner at the 2025 ATP Finals and withdrawing from the Davis Cup with a hamstring injury, World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz was asked about his custom Nike logo that many reported and believed was to be revealed at the ATP Finals.
Alcaraz called those news reports “fake news” and admitted that the logo is still in the works. He laughed off the news that it was done and said that he kept quiet amid the circulation of the false story.
Alcaraz, tennis, and Nike fans are eagerly anticipating this custom logo reveal as it has been years since Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had their Nike moments.
Many think Nike tennis is floundering especially with the recent admission by WTA World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka that she will not wear custom kits in 2026. At this point, only Naomi Osaka has a custom kit in the women’s game. On the men’s side, top players like Jack Draper (Vuori), Taylor Fritz (Boss), and Frances Tiafoe (Lululemon) have left the brand in recent years.
Nike has underwhelmed many in terms of its tennis merchandise so Alcaraz’s logo could be a necessary boost.
Carlos Alcaraz Still Planning To Play 2 December Exhibitions
Despite having to bow out of Davis Cup competition, Alcaraz is still busy preparing for two December exhibitions taking place in the US.
He will participate in “A Racquet at the Rock” with Frances Tiafoe in Newark on December 7 and the Miami Tennis Invitational with Joao Fonseca on December 8. Many tennis fans are intrigued to see Alcaraz and Fonseca play each other for the first time ever.
It is doubtful that he will make a big Nike reveal in the brief offseason so we will have to wait and see if it happens at the Australian Open in January or later in the 2026 season.
