Aryna Sabalenka Wins Big In AO Revenge Rematch Over Madison Keys

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka had revenge on her mind on Friday night. She came into the BNP Paribas Open semifinals looking to avenge that heartbreaking three-set Australian Open loss to Madison Keys.
And she did just that with a blistering 6-0, 6-1 win that took less than one hour. Sabalenka managed the wind and cold conditions much better than Keys. She had minimal unforced errors and had clean service games. Keys had struggles in every facet of her game.

Keys also spent nearly two hours more on the court in the matches leading up to her Sabalenka match. She had tough long ones against Elise Mertens and Donna Vekic.
All good things must come to an end, but Keys rode a 16-match winning streak, won Adelaide, won the Australian Open, and climbed to a career-best World No. 5 in the rankings. Keys heads to Miami without the pressure of the win streak and with the Sabalenka rematch behind her.
Aryna Sabalenka Will Face Mirra Andreeva In The Final
Sabalenka will face Mirra Andreeva who upset two-time defending champion Iga Swiatek in three sets. Andreeva defeated Sabalenka at the 2024 French Open.

Aryna Sabalenka has played her best tennis of the season at Indian Wells. It took time to find her game after Keys beat her in Melbourne. Andreeva will have to manage the Sabalenka power, aggression, and massive serve. The conditions could also play a factor though both women managed the wind in their semifinal matches.
