According to Nate Duffett of Fansided, the Bruins are showing interest in St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk of South St. Paul, Minnesota. Faulk is a three-time National Hockey League All-Star, as he was honoured three straight years with the Carolina Hurricanes from 2015 to 2017.
Why are the Bruins in need of a defenseman?
Boston is in search of a defenseman because part of their blueline is inexperienced, and has a career of some ineffectiveness. Jonathan Aspirot of Mascouche, Quebec is a rookie with only 34 NHL games under his belt, Mason Lohrei of Baton Rouge, Louisiana only has 167 NHL career games, and is a career -38, and Andrew Peeke of Parkland, Florida only has 15 career goals in 362 games and is a -81.

The Bruins had interest in veteran defenseman Rasmus Andersson of Malmo, Sweden. However, Andersson was traded from the Calgary Flames to the Vegas Golden Knights instead.
