One of the biggest mysteries in Hollywood revolves around the James Bond franchise. Who will suit up as 007? Below are the odds for the next actor to play James Bond.

The James Bond Franchise is in a Transition Period

It has been four years since the last James Bond movie, No Time to Die, was released in theaters. In that movie, Daniel Craig depicted 007 one last time as his character died in the final moments.

The next time Bond hits the big screen, it will be another actor with a license to kill.

The Bond franchise is currently in a transition phase. In February 2025, Amazon MGM Studios gained creative control of the Bond franchise from the Broccoli family and Eon Productions.

The next Bond movie, informally known as Bond 26, will be the first under Amazon.

First, Amazon assembled the producers for Bond 26. Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce the next Bond movie. Both producers have a proven track record of producing blockbusters.

Pascal is best known for producing the Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland, and Heyman produced all eight Harry Potter adaptations.

Next, Amazon hired Denis Villeneuve to direct Bond 26. Villeneuve is a talented filmmaker who understands how to depict epic stories, as evidenced by his Dune movies.

Steven Knight, who created Peaky Blinders, will pen the script for Bond 26.

Odds via Polymarket as of Nov. 13

The biggest decision is still on the table: Who will be the next actor to play James Bond?

For the odds list, Polymarket has set a deadline for June 30, 2026. With that date in mind, no Bond chosen (+144) is the top choice. In other words, Polymarket believes that Amazon will not name a Bond before June 30, 2026.

If Amazon does make a selection, the odds favor Callum Turner (+300) to play 007. Turner, 35, is best known for starring roles in Masters of the Air and The Boys in the Boat.

Turner, who is engaged to Dua Lipa, will next be seen in Eternity, an A24 rom-com starring Miles Teller and Elizabeth Olsen.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson (+900) has been a favorite to play Bond since Craig departed the franchise. In March 2024, The Sun even reported that Taylor-Johnson had been offered the role.

This past June, Variety reported that Holland (+1329), Harris Dickinson (+1329), and Jacob Elordi (+1567) were at the top of Amazon’s wishlist for Bond. Considering that the studio likely wants a young star to play the role for at least a decade, those three names fit the bill.
