Pro Bowl Prize Money

The Super Bowl is the most prestigious event of the season but the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl marks the end of the campaign for 30 of the 32 teams in the NFL – and there is prize money on offer for those involved.

This will be the third year that the event will consist of skills competitions and a non-contact flag football game between players from the National and American Conferences.

Only players from the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs do not take part in the Pro Bowl because of their upcoming battle for the Vincent Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans on February 9.

The NFC took an early 14-7 lead over the AFC as they went head-to-head in a skill showdown on day one of the four-day event on Thursday.

How Much Do Pro Bowl Players Earn?

In the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl, players receive prize money where the amount depends on whether they are on the winning or losing team.

For the 2025 Pro Bowl, the winning conference receives $90,000-per-player.

The NFC players which include Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills look good to receive that bonus after they took the lead on the opening day.

However, that could all change by day-four of the Pro Bowl when the two conferences meet in a flag football clash at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Those who fall on the losing conference, will each receive $45,000. As per Sporting News, the Pro Bowl prize money has increased year-on-year for the majority of the last decade.

How Does Pro Bowl Prize Money Compare To Super Bowl?

Each player on the winning side of Super Bowl 2025 will take home $171,000 in prize money – compared to the $90,000 on store for being part of the Pro Bowl winning team.

This is $7,000 more per player than last year’s Super Bowl. Eligible players last year from the winning team each received $164,000.

The Super Bowl prize money for those on the losing side is $103,000 – compared to $45,000 for the Pro Bowl.

However, some players in the Super Bowl could see their figure cut in half due to certain eligibility criteria.

Players who get half the bonus from the prize money have done the following:

  • Played fewer than three games during the regular season or playoffs and are on the team’s active or inactive list when the Super Bowl is played.
  • They’re not on the active or inactive list. However, they still must have played between three and seven games during the regular or post-season.
  • They are first-year players who are injured during the regular season and removed from the team’s active or inactive list. Like the veteran players, they must still be under contract when the Super Bowl is played.
