Seattle Seahawks Draft Picks

The Seattle Seahawks will look much different this season under second-year head coach Mike Macdonald.

Seattle traded Geno Smith to the Raiders and DK Metcalf to the Steelers. After dealing Smith, Seattle signed free agent quarterback Sam Darnold after his career year with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Seahawks have 10 draft picks, including five in the top 100.

2025 NFL Draft: Seattle’s Team Needs

Offensive Line

Darnold is walking into an offensive line situation with proven tackles and questionable guards.

Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas will anchor the tackle positions, while Olu Oluwatimi and Jalen Sundell will battle to start at center.

The two guard positions are up for grabs, especially with Laken Tomlinson departing in free agency. Don’t be surprised if Seattle takes two guards within their first five picks.

Wide Receiver

Metcalf is now on the Steelers, and Tyler Lockett remains a free agent.

Darnold’s top two targets are Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling is projected to be the third option. Seattle will likely look for a big receiver in the draft to replace some of Metcalf’s production.

Defensive Line

Seattle could either grab another edge rusher to rush the quarterback or find another run-stopper to plug the middle.

Last season’s nose tackle, Johnathan Hankins, remains unsigned, so expect Seattle to go defensive tackle before snagging an edge.

Either way, Seattle will be improving their trenches on both sides of the ball this draft.
