ESPN, Disney+, and Skydance Sports released the official trailer for The Kingdom, the upcoming docuseries featuring the Kansas City Chiefs.
First Look At The Kingdom Trailer
“Every year that’s the only goal you have is winning the Super Bowl,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes says in the trailer. “If we don’t win it, it’s a failure.”
The Kingdom filmed the Chiefs’ 2024 season as they set out to become the first team in the Super Bowl era to three-peat.
Kansas City set a franchise record for regular season wins with 15 and won their third-consecutive AFC Championship.
The quest for three consecutive titles ended on Feb. 9, 2025, when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to win Super Bowl LIX.
The series will feature interviews with current players, coaches, and executives as The Kingdom gives fans a behind-the-scenes look into this storied NFL franchise.
The Kingdom will also explore the 65-year history of the Chiefs, from their days in Dallas, Texas, to their ascension to the top of the NFL with Mahomes under center.
The episodes will include behind-the-scenes moments and untold stories with never-before-seen photos and videos.
The first look was revealed at Disney’s upfront presentation by Mahomes.
“Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs gave ESPN unfiltered access to our lives – on and off the field,” said Mahomes via ESPN. “The result is an incredible six-episode series called The Kingdom that showcases the true heart of our great city, the team, and what it takes to be a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. We dive into the history and legacy of the franchise, from the early days in Texas all the way to our third-straight Super Bowl appearance. It was an honor to be a part of this incredible project, and I can’t wait for all of you to see it.”
