Gerwyn Price - Darts

Following speculation on social media and hot on the heels of the 2025 World Darts Championship, our traders at SportsCasting had some fun pricing up WWE-style Royal Rumble – to see who would be the toughest arrows player on the circuit.

Luke Would Get ‘Nuked’ By Gerwyn As Experts ‘Price-Up’ WWE-Style Darts Rumble

Gerwyn Price, who played pro rugby union for Welsh sides Neath, Cross Keys and Pro 12, came out as favourite – should the top 30 PDC-ranked darts players step into a ROYAL RUMBLE WWE ring, at 4/1.

The ‘Iceman’, with his impressive set of guns, would be a formidable opponent for any of the other top darts players in the world at the moment – according to the experts.

Price reached the quarter-finals of this year’s World Championship, before losing out to Chris Dobey on New Year’s Day.

This was still enough to increase Gerwyn Price’s net worth by £50,000, which is what each of the final eight players banked in World Darts Championship prize money in 2025.

In contrast, Luke Littler, who banked £500k for his World Championship win earlier in January, is expected to not be as good in a Royal Rumble ring than he is at the oche.

With the experts making the Nuke a massive 150/1 to win a real-like darts rumble. Maybe stay away from the ring Luke.

Two Smiths Fancied According To Darts Royal Rumble Odds

Michael Smith - Darts
Michael Smith – Darts

Next best in the darts Royal Rumble odds market are a couple of ‘Smiths’ in Ross and Michael – who are 7/1 and 8/1.

The 2023 World Champion Michael Smith exited this year’s event in only the second round, when losing to Kevin Doets 3-2, but the SportsCasting traders are taking no chances on him being a ‘Bully Boy’ in the ring at 8/1 – just a point bigger than his namesake Ross Smith at 7/1.

Michael Van Gerwen - Darts

Others on the list include recent Worlds runner-up Michael van Gerwen at 12/1 – maybe the experts think his jaws-like teeth might be an asset in Royal Rumble WWE ring.

While world darts number 4 Rob Cross is on offer at 20/1 and Stephen Bunting, who made the 2025 Premier League Darts line-up, is at 50/1.

Plus, the top-ranked player Luke Humphries is on the table at 22/1 should there be a ‘battle of the bulleyers’ in a Royal Rumble WWE ring.

Commentary:

sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our ‘Darts WWE Royal Rumble’ odds saying:

“Just imagine if the top 30 PDC ranked darts players stepped into a Royal Rumble ring (without their darts)? It would surely make great TV.

“Let’s say they did – former pro rugby player Gerwyn Price, with his impressive set of ‘guns’, would surely hit a few ‘180’s’ in the ring – but at 4/1 the Welshman looks a skinny ‘price’ to me.

“In contrast, you feel Littler wouldn’t have enough ‘Nukes’ in a Royal Rumble battle against some older (and heavier) opponents.

However, the 8/1 on Michael Smith to ‘Bully’ the rest would surely be the value here should this event ever happen – come on Barry Hearn!”
