Football fans have taken to social media to share their displeasure at the Baller League UK launch, with some branding the opening night as ‘disorganised’ and ’embarrassing’.
Baller League UK launched with its opening ‘Draft Night’ on Monday, and fans weren’t impressed with the production.
The league, which some have described as ‘revolutionary’, is being supported by numerous celebrities, influencers and ex-professional footballers, including the likes of KSI, Angry Ginge, Gary Lineker, John Terry and many more.
Originally, the Baller League was put forward in Germany by former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels and ex-Arsenal star Lukas Podolski, but it will now enter the online space in the United Kingdom. A US version of the Baller League is imminent too, with the likes of Ronaldinho and iShowSpeed confirmed as guests.
12 teams will take part in this year’s Baller League, competing in a six-a-side style format, kicking off in late March. Matches will take place in Manchester and London, and the tournament will go on for 11 weeks before the final in May.
Monday’s draft saw team managers such as Luis Figo, Dave, Sharky, Miniminter and more select their players one by one in the form of an American-style draft, with each squad being made up of 12 players.
Football Fans Slam ‘Painful’ and ‘Disorganised’ Baller League UK Launch

Another fan, @TheQuilva, said: “Production on Baller League is very poor. Nobody knows what anyone is doing with interviews and the managers don’t know who has been selected or not. Potential but this is terrible.”
@FohnJord added: “This Baller League draft is painful to watch.”
X user @FatLadBrad also commented on the production, stating: “This baller league is done so poorly. Production is so bad for all these massive names that are there. Has so much potential if they sort it out.”
@DrMantisSR wrote: “Switched on Baller League and managed 5 minutes before turning off. Awfully poor organisation. Looks like it’s been put together by a btec group of 16 year olds.”
