Man City Man Oscar Bobb Targeted By Juventus

Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly added Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb to their summer transfer shortlist.

Bobb sees his Man City contract expire in June 2029.

The 21-year-old played 60 minutes of Club World Cup football in Man City’s first two matches. He could have had more opportunities had the Cityzens not crashed out after a shock 4-3 defeat to Al Hilal in the Round of 16.

Juventus Interested in Signing Man City Forward Oscar Bobb

Oscar Bobb enjoyed an excellent pre-season campaign for Man City last year. His fine pre-season showings allowed him to lock down a starting XI spot in the FA Community Cup clash against Manchester United. Unfortunately, calamity struck soon after, as he broke his leg after attempting a change of direction during training.

Pep Guardiola brought him to the Club World Cup tour in June and even gave him a few minutes. But he neither featured in the 5-2 win over Juventus nor the 4-3 defeat against Al Hilal, which saw City get brutally mocked on social media. After spending almost the entirety of the 2024/25 season on the bench, Bobb faces an uncertain future at Man City. And according to Tuttosport, Juventus want to capitalise.

The Bianconeri have added Bobb to their transfer shortlist for the summer. They are studying the possibility of signing him in the coming weeks. In addition to Juventus, Chelsea have enquired about the young winger. Prizing Bobb away from City, however, will not be easy. Due to his stellar pre-season form last year, Guardiola will assess him in the coming days. If he clears the test, there is a good chance that he will continue at City.

On the other hand, if he fails, Man City could let him go for the right price. With them signing Tijjaini Reijnders from AC Milan and eyeing a move for some other targets, they could use the money that the move would bring.

Oscar Bobb Transfer Cost

As per the data from Transfermarkt, Bobb is currently worth around €25 million (£21.4 million). However, considering he still has around four years remaining on his Man City deal, Juventus could have to pay around £40 million for his services.

Bobb, who has scored two international goals for Norway, joined Man City U18 from Valerenga Yth. in 2019. Rising through the ranks at City, Bobb earned his senior team contract in the summer of 2023.

He has since played 32 games under Pep Guardiola, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.

Where Will Oscar Bobb Play at Juventus?

Oscar Bobb can play in multiple positions in attack, including on the right wing, on the left wing, as a centre forward, and even as an attacking midfielder. Juventus manager Igor Tudor values versatility. So, he would be thrilled to have a player of Bobb’s talents in his ranks.

Although he can slot in anywhere in attack, he could primarily be used as a right winger. Bobb could replace Francisco Conceicao in the team, who is currently on loan from Porto.

Porto are demanding that Juve trigger Conceicao’s €30 million (£25.7 million) release clause, and the Old Lady appear reluctant. If Porto and Juventus cannot come to a compromise, it could pave the way for Bobb’s switch to the Allianz Stadium.
