This week sees the biggest golf team tournament getting underway – with this year’s event at Bethpage Black Course in New York, USA. But just who is favourite to win the Ryder Cup 2025 as team USA and Europe lock horns for three days of high-class action?
Ryder Cup Odds 2025: USA Favourites To Win On Home Soil
When it comes to most sports, having home advantage is often a huge advantage and this theory also applies to the Ryder Cup.
This event is played every two years in either the USA or a part of Europe and when hosted in one of the team’s homeland – this is often reflected in the odds with the golf betting sites.
Last time in 2023, when Italy entertained, Europe powered to an easy 16 1/2 – 11 1/2 win.
While in 2021, team USA won cruised to a 19-9 win at Whistling Straits, US.
In fact, ALL of the last five Ryder Cups have been won by the home team, which is one of the big reasons why team USA are favourites to win the 2025 Ryder Cup at 4/6 before a ball has been hit.
At these odds, the layers are giving USA a 60% chance of winning.
With team Europe on offer at 7/4 and a tie on the table at 12/1 – the last time we saw a Ryder Cup tie was in 1989. But Europe retained the title as the current holders at the time.
However, once the action gets going on Friday (26th Sept) the outright Ryder Cup betting odds will be chopping and changing by the minute based on how each team is doing.
With most betting sites also offering in-play betting odds and options.
| Team | Odds | Winning % |
| USA | 4/6 | 60% |
| Tie | 12/1 | 7.7% |
| Europe | 7/4 | 36.4% |

Europe Have Won Eight Of The Last Eleven Ryder Cups
Despite USA being the 2025 Ryder Cup favourites in the betting – it’s worth noting that Europe have by-far the best recent record.
Team Europe have won EIGHT of the last 11 Ryder Cups and five of the last seven.
Their last win, however, on US soil was in 2012, at the Medinah Country Club, Illinois (watch below).
Ryder Cup Correct Score Odds 2025: 14.5-13.5 Scoreline Has Been The Most Popular
The 2025 Ryder Cup format will start in the morning with the foursomes on day one and two, with the four-balls in the afternoon.
Then, of course, the singles on day three.
Knowing this will give punters looking to bet on the Ryder Cup correct score an idea on how many points each team might be able to win.
With 28 points on offer – then getting to the magic 14 1/2 points will see a team win the Ryder Cup.
Last year’s winning score for Europe was 16 1/2 – 11 1/2, which can be backed at 14/1
While the last time it was held in the US, the correct score was 19-9 to the home team. You can back this score again at 28/1.
But since there have been 28 points on offer (since 1979), the most popular Ryder Cup correct score has been 14 1/2 – 13 1/2 – which has happened seven times.
Which is why it’s no shock to see this Ryder Cup correct score as the 10/1 favourite, with USA winning.

| USA 15.5-12.5 | 11/1 |

Top European Ryder Cup Points Scorer Odds: McIlroy Favourite To Top Score Again

At the last Ryder Cup (2023), Rory McIlroy was the top European points scorer with four, which is why the layers are taking no chances on him again in this market.
The Northern Irishman has played in this event seven times before, with the overall Rory McIlroy Ryder Cup record five wins and two losses.
This year’s Masters champion is 4/1 to notch the most points for team Europe.
With Spain’s Jon Rahm, who got three points in 2023, next at 9/2 and Tommy Fleetwood at 11/2.
However, with Viktor Hovland and Tyrrell Hatton both getting 3.5 points in 2023, maybe there is some value in their top European Ryder Cup points scorer odds.
Hatton is 8/1 and Hovland a slightly better 17/2.
| Player | Odds |
| Rory McIlroy | 4/1 |
| Jon Rahm | 9/2 |
| Tommy Fleetwood | 11/2 |
| Ludvig Aberg | 8/1 |
| Tyrrell Hatton | 8/1 |
| Viktor Hovland | 17/2 |
| Matt Fitzpatrick | 11/1 |
| Robert MacIntyre | 12/1 |
| Shane Lowry | 16/1 |
| Justin Rose | 18/1 |
| Sepp Straka | 25/1 |
| Rasmus Hojgaard | 30/1 |
Top USA Ryder Cup Points Scorer Odds: Scheffler Favourite To Top-Score For USA

Open golf winner Scottie Scheffler is going to be the main man for team USA – according to the betting.
Scheffler is just 3/1 to be the USA Ryder Cup top points scorer this week.
The Scottie Scheffler Ryder Cup record sees the world number one only making his third appearance at the Ryder Cup and despite his low odds – he only managed one point in 2023.
Overall Scheffler has won 3.5 points but is still to record a win in the foursomes.
The top US Ryder Cup points scorer in 2023 was Max Homa, but he’s not made the team in 2025.
Patrick Cantlay was next best with two points though and can be backed at 15/2 to win the most US points.
| Player | Odds |
| Scottie Scheffler | 3/1 |
| Bryson DeChambeau | 11/2 |
| Xander Schauffele | 7/1 |
| Patrick Cantlay | 15/2 |
| Justin Thomas | 11/1 |
| Russell Henley | 12/1 |
| Sam Burns | 12/1 |
| Collin Morikawa | 14/1 |
| Cameron Young | 11/1 |
| Ben Griffin | 16/1 |
| J.J Spaun | 20/1 |
| Harris English | 22/1 |
Ryder Cup Hole-In-One Odds
Ryder Cup hole-in-ones are not very common.
The last one came back in 2006, when Scott Verplank at the K Club when firing in an ace in his match against Padraig Harrington.
Therefore, with eight Ryder Cups since the last hole-in-one, some might say the 7/2 on offer on their being one is 2025 is a tad skinny.
While it’s long odds-on at 2/11 there won’t be a hole-in-one over the three days.
| Hole-In-One | Odds |
| Yes | 7/2 |
| No | 2/11 |
