Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton has given his Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley prediction ahead their heavyweight ding-dong this Saturday night.
The former two-weight world champion will be providing commentary and insight for DAZN as a pundit this weekend, and has shared his thoughts on how he feels Parker vs Wardley may play out.
Carl Frampton Gives Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley Prediction
As a former two-weight world champion, Carl Frampton is viewed as boxing royalty. Particularly in his home country of Northern Ireland, where Frampton is a proper hometown hero.
The Belfast man won world titles at both super-bantamweight and featherweight, as well as headlining a huge show at Windsor Park before hanging up his gloves for good.
Since retirement, Frampton has stayed in boxing to some capacity. He first worked for BT Sport, then TNT Sports and is now a boxing pundit and commentator for DAZN.
‘The Jackal’ is regularly sat at ringside for all of the biggest and best fighters, which is no exception when it comes to Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley this weekend.
Parker vs Wardley headlines at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, with world heavyweight title implications very much on the line in the main event.
Although Parker is the fairly heavy favourite, many people are also backing Wardley to upset the odds and win the fight via knockout. He has incredibly power, just like he showed last time out versus Justis Huni.
With that in mind, Frampton has weighed-in with his pre-fight Parker vs Wardley prediction. The Northern Irishman has firmly sat on the fence, finding it difficult to actually pick a winner.
Whilst Frampton mentioned the fact you cannot write Wardley off, he admits that Parker is rightfully a big favourite.
Unlike Tony Bellew’s shock Parker vs Wardley prediction, Frampton is far less confident in who he feels will be victorious on Saturday night.
‘He Always Has A Chance’ – Carl Frampton Predicts Parker vs Wardley
Dave Allen’s Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley prediction is confident in favour of the New Zealander, but the same can’t be said for Carl Frampton.
The former two-weight world champion is finding it hard to predict a winner of Saturday’s heavyweight match-up, which is live exclusively on DAZN PPV.
As a man who has won multiple world titles and been involved in some huge nights, Frampton knows how to read a fight. That being said, he is firmly sitting on the fence for Parker vs Wardley.
Speaking in a recent interview with Boxing News, the former two-division world champion gave an indecisive and unsure Parker vs Wardley prediction:
“I’s a really good fight. Big Wardley is always in a fight because he carries dynamite throughout,” Frampton revealed in a recent interview with Boxing News.
“We saw that in the Justis Huni win where he was being comprehensively beaten, but did the business to finish it. He’s dangerous and he’s dangerous all the way through the fight.
“But Joseph Parker has improved immensely over the last couple of years. Although he’s been inactive for a while through no fault of his own, he’s the big favourite.
“I wouldn’t rule Fabio out. He’s a puncher, he’s dangerous and he always has a chance,” Frampton concluded when giving his Parker vs Wardley prediction.
