Isak Injury Liverpool

Liverpool striker Alexander Isak is ranked as one of the most likely goalscorers in FPL ahead of Gameweek 10 despite a slow start to life at Anfield.

Alexander Isak Likely To Score in Gameweek 10

Since completing his big-money move to Liverpool from Newcastle in the summer, Alexander Isak is yet to open his goalscoring account in the Premier League for the Merseyside outfit.

He netted in the Reds’ Carabao Cup third round win over Southampton in September, but after making four appearances in the English top-flight, he has managed just one assist thus far.

His underwhelming form has seen his price drop in the latest FPL price changes for Gameweek 10. He is also among the most transferred-out players for the Gameweek, with 124,728 so far.

Despite this, Isak is ranked as one of the most likely goalscorers in FPL ahead of Gameweek 10.

Facing off against Aston Villa at home, he has a 44.4% chance of scoring. This is calculated by taking the implied probability of his anytime goalscorer odds with leading bookmakers.

The Swede boasts a strong record against Villa, supporting the bookies in making him a likely goalscorer this weekend, as he has netted three goals in his last four games against the club.

Set to return after missing Liverpool’s defeat by Brentford in Gameweek 9 through injury, could Isak finally break his goalscoring duck for the Merseyside outfit in the league on Saturday?

Ranked ahead of him with higher implied probabilities of netting in GW10 are Erling Haaland and Viktor Gyokeres. The former is given a 57.1% chance of scoring, and the latter is at 45.5%.

Haaland, who tops the Premier League goalscoring charts with 11 and is one of the best FPL forwards to buy in 2025-26, failed to get on the scoresheet in City’s defeat by Villa last time out.

His failure to score ended an incredible 12-game scoring streak for both club and country. He’ll be looking to get back amongst the goals when the Cityzens host Bournemouth this weekend.

Meanwhile, Gyokeres extended his goalless run in the English top-flight to five games as Arsenal narrowly overcame Crystal Palace in GW9. Next up, he travels to Turf Moor to face Burnley.

Also ranked highly among the most likely goalscorers in FPL for Gameweek 10 are Jean-Philippe Mateta (42.1%), Mohamed Salah (40.8%), Bukayo Saka (38.5%) and Nick Woltemade (38.1%).

Having accumulated a total of 15 points after netting twice in Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Brighton last week, Bryan Mbeumo is another that’s seen as a likely goalscorer this weekend.

The Cameroonian has a 32.3% probability of scoring away at Nottingham Forest, while his Red Devils teammate Benjamin Sesko is ranked slightly ahead of him at 35.7%.
