Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has slammed hypocritical Players Championship rules in a since-deleted social media post following PC33 absence.
The reigning world champion missed the registration deadline and was unable to play, but some fellow players arrived even later than Littler but were allowed to participate.
Luke Littler Slams Players Championship In Since-Deleted Post
Darts star Luke Littler has expressed his anger in a since-deleted social media post following his absence from Players Championship 33 on Wednesday.
Littler’s frustration came at Players Championship organisers and rules officials who denied his entry, despite ‘The Nuke’ only being ‘minutes’ late.
The 18-year-old missed out on PC33 due to missing the registration deadline as he was held up in traffic on the M6.
He was able to play on Thursday however, which is when he discovered that several other players were allowed to register for PC33, despite turning up to the venue even later than Littler.
This is where Littler’s anger came from, fuming at the fact he was denied entry due to registration rules, yet some of his fellow competitors were able to play after also turning up late.
As it transpires, there had been a fatal accident on the M6 where a man lost his life.
This heart-breaking incident meant Littler was unable to make it to the venue on time for registration for PC33, instead having to wait to play in the 34th and final Players Championship Pro Tour event on Thursday instead.
Littler passed his driving theory test at the seventh attempt in September but is yet to pass his practical exam.
However, this time Littler was forced to miss the darts event in Wigan due to unforeseen circumstances.

‘One Rule For One, One For Another’ – Luke Littler Unhappy At Hypocritical Players Championship Ruling
Although uninformed at first, Luke Littler found out on Thursday during Players Championship 34 that other players had turned up late for registration but were allowed to partake in PC33 on Wednesday.
After losing 6-5 to Matt Campbell in Round 2 at PC34, Littler took to social media to summarise his performance. He also touched on Wednesday’s tragedy and missing registration for Players Championship 33.
“Not the best day today, but I played some decent stuff,” Littler wrote on Instagram.
“But really glad to hear from a few of the other players that people have been let in almost half an hour late for a Pro Tour, but I can’t be two minutes late.
“Says a lot, one rule for one, one for another,” Littler concluded in a fiery social media post that has since been deleted.

Littler’s frustration is justified, given the fact other players turned up to the PC33 venue later than he did but were allowed to play.
‘The Nuke’ also paid tribute to the person that lost their life on the M6 motorway, which was the reason as to why the 18-year-old was late for PC33:
“Missed registration today for the Pro Tour, but somebody sadly lost their life, thinking of everyone,” Littler wrote on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon.
Although he may have missed PC33 and lost early on at PC33, the latest Luke Littler stats still point towards victory at the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts next week in the next PDC major of the year.
