Antoine Semenyo Transfer

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up the option of triggering Antoine Semenyo’s release clause in January, according to Tuesday’s Premier League transfer rumours.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur Weigh up January Move for Antoine Semenyo

Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo reportedly has a £65million release clause, which goes live on January 1, 2026.

However, the clause is not valid for the entire winter transfer window. The Cherries want enough time to find a replacement in case Semenyo’s clause is triggered. The release clause will decrease in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with Semenyo.

Spurs have been tracking the winger longer than the Reds. They scouted him in the summer transfer window, but Bournemouth’s £70m+ asking price caused them to back off.

Tottenham are considering trying again in January, as they aim to broaden their attacking options.

While Liverpool see Semenyo as a reinforcement ahead of the African Cup of Nations.

They will be without Mohamed Salah during the tournament, as the winger will represent Egypt. Semenyo’s Ghana have not qualified for the tournament, meaning he will be available for Premier League action.

Liverpool and Tottenham are not the only two teams linked with Semenyo. Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United have also been named, with SportsCasting’s betting experts dubbing them the favourites to sign Semenyo.

Aston Villa’s Jadon Sancho Travels to Istanbul Amid Fenerbahce Links

Aston Villa loanee Jadon Sancho reportedly wants to move in January, and Fenerbahce are one of the clubs interested in signing him.

The 25-year-old fanned the rumours by reportedly travelling to Istanbul with his manager. Their purpose for the trip was to meet with Fenerbahce’s representatives.

Fenerbahce manager Domenico Tedesco previously said his team lacked a winger who could beat a defender in one-on-one situations.

Sancho excelled in that department in his Dortmund days and seems like a good fit for the Turkish side. It is unclear whether Fenerbahce intend to sign him on loan or permanently in January.

Manchester United loaned Sancho out to Aston Villa in the summer. The Red Devils hoped for Sancho to play regularly at Villa, which could have given United a chance to secure a higher transfer fee.

However, the Englishman has only played eight games in all competitions, failing to score or assist.

If Fenerbahce make an offer, Aston Villa are unlikely to stand in Sancho’s way. Villa are reportedly preparing a big offer for Real Betis winger Ez Abde, and could put Sancho’s wages to good use.

Manchester United Have to Pay £44m for Wolverhampton Star Joao Gomes

Manchester United want to sign a defensive midfielder and have set their sights on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Joao Gomes.

Gomes has been a standout for the struggling Wolves. He has played all 11 Premier League games this season. He has made 11 interceptions, won 10 aerial duels, and registered 50 recoveries.

United are monitoring Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, but a move for any of the players seems unlikely in January.

Gomes, meanwhile, is available in January, with Wolves asking £44m for the player.

The Red Devils are in a position to pay the fee in January. However, according to Football Insider, United are hoping for Wolves to get relegated to avoid paying a premium for the Brazilian.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Trying to Re-Sign Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly attempting to bring Harry Kane back to North London.

According to German outlet Kicker, Kane could leave Bayern Munich for £57m next summer. He must inform the German club about his decision to leave in January for the release clause to hold.

Barcelona, as well as several English clubs, are interested in signing Kane. However, Spurs have a preferential option to re-sign the England captain.

Fabio Paratici, who secured Kane’s extension in 2022, has returned to the club as sporting director, while Daniel Levy has left his post as executive chairman. The personnel changes, coupled with the motivation to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record and win a trophy with Spurs, could convince Kane to return.

Kane has been in scorching form for Bayern Munich this season, scoring 23 goals in 17 games across competitions. His contract with Bayern expires in June 2027.

Arsenal Receive Boost in Rodrygo Pursuit

Premier League Transfer Rumours: Rodrygo Linked with Arsenal

Arsenal have received encouragement in their bid to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

The Gunners are reportedly prepared to offer £53m in transfer fee, with an additional £17m in bonuses, for the winger.

According to Football365, Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is open to accepting the proposal. Agreeing personal terms with Rodrygo is unlikely to be a problem, as the 24-year-old wants to secure regular playing time.

Rodrygo has not locked down a place in Alonso’s starting XI this season. He has played 10 LaLiga matches, starting only two of them. The two-time Champions League winner failed to capitalise on the opportunities, not scoring or assisting.

Rodrygo’s Real Madrid contract expires in June 2028.
