Celtic travel to Aberdeen for their second match in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, and our betting tips can be backed in a 11/4 bet builder.
Aberdeen vs Celtic Bet Builder Tips
- Celtic to Win @ 4/9
- Both Teams to Score @ 4/6
- Daizen Maeda to Score at Any Time @ 4/5
Celtic to Win @ 4/9
The first game of this season didn’t go entirely how Celtic wanted it to go, with a last minute winner saving them from dropping points against St. Mirren.
Despite their rather underwhelming performance the reigning champions still took home all three points.
Aberdeen could be a more tricky proposition than St. Mirren was last weekend but with a first win under their belts, we think Celtic can kick on from there.
Celtic have won four of the last five meetings against Aberdeen, including all three league clashes last year.
Both Teams to Score @ 4/6
Celtic were able to keep St. Mirren at bay on matchday 1 but facing Aberdeen on the road they might not have everything their own way.
Both teams found the back of the net in each of the last three meetings between these sides including the Scottish Cup final last season which finished 1-1.
Aberdeen conceded five to Celtic on two occasions last season but even then they managed to at least grab a consolation.
Fans could be in store for another goal-fest on Sunday afternoon however Aberdeen always seem to find a way to score against the five-time reigning champs.
Daizen Maeda to Score Any Time @ 4/5
The final selection we are offering to complete our tips for Sunday’s game is Daizen Maeda to score any time.
Maeda played the full 90 minutes against St. Mirren and although he didn’t find the back of the net, the winger was in the thick of the action throughout the match. Maeda provided the assist for Luke McCowan’s late winner.
As well as registering his first assist of the campaign, Maeda had two shots in the game showing his eagerness to get off the mark.
With 16 goals in 30 Premiership games last season a price of 4/5 for Maeda to score on Sunday is good value.
Aberdeen vs Celtic Preview
Aberdeen kicked off their season with an underwhelming loss against Hearts.
The visitors couldn’t even find the back of the net in the first game of the season and they will be eager to recover from what was a disappointing result.
New Aberdeen signings Emmanuel Gyamfi and Kristers Tobers are both expected to miss out against Celtic with injuries still preventing the pair from playing.
Three other signings did start for the Reds though with Kusini Yengi, Adil Aouchiche, and Nicolas Milanovic leading the front line.
Although they were eventually able to find the back of the net, Celtic’s season nearly got off to a disastrous start.
The Bhoys weren’t able to find a way to goal against a resilient St. Mirren until Luke McCowan put the visitors in front with just two minutes left to play.

A wave of relief could be felt around Celtic Park as the hosts went in front and with Rangers dropping points to kick off their campaign, it felt like two wins for the champions.
Celtic’s fixtures only get harder after Aberdeen with the first Old Firm of the season coming up, so they will be eager to kick off the season with back-to-back wins.
Jota is not expected to return for Celtic for some time after suffering a cruciate ligament injury. Kieran Tierney may be downgraded to the bench after struggling for fitness against St. Mirren.
Celtic are unsurprisingly short favourites with football betting sites to beat Aberdeen at a price of 4/9.
