“Over My Dead Body!” – Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta Refuses to Believe Title Race is Over

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he will not concede defeat in the Premier League title race, despite an 11-point deficit to leaders Liverpool.

The Gunners face an uphill battle following a 1-0 home defeat to West Ham and Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

However, Arteta insists his team will fight until it’s mathematically impossible to clinch the title.

When asked if Arsenal’s title hopes were over, Arteta responded defiantly, saying, “Over my dead body.”

Premier League Title Race – Can The Gunners Bounce Back?

Arsenal have an opportunity to reduce the gap when they face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Arteta highlighted the importance of maintaining consistency and bouncing back from setbacks.

“It was a very disappointing weekend,” he admitted. “The previous 15 games we had won 10 and drawn five – exactly the same as Liverpool with exactly the same goal difference.

“We have been extremely consistent over the last three months.”

Despite the setback against West Ham, Arsenal will need to regain their winning form if they hope to challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title.

With key players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli returning to full fitness next month, the Gunners still hope to turn the tide.

Can Arsenal Make a Historic Comeback?

Arteta acknowledged that Liverpool’s form makes the challenge even greater but insists that winning the Premier League often requires extraordinary performances.

“If you are going to win the Premier League with the circumstances we have, you will probably have to do something that nobody else has done in the history of the Premier League.”

With plenty of games left to play, Arsenal’s title hopes are not entirely over. However, they will need to find consistency and capitalise on any slip-ups from Liverpool.

The two sides will face off at Anfield on 10 May, and should both sides win all their games up until that point, Liverpool could seal the title with a win that day.
