Manchester United are continuing to monitor the situation of Brentford’s top goalscorer from last season, with their ongoing interest in Mbeumo one of the biggest active transfer stories.
The Red Devils have already had two bids rejected by Brentford, but they aren’t expected to have given up on the pursuit just yet.
Should the 25-year-old leave London for Manchester before the new season begins then Brentford could look to Ipswich for one of their best players from last year.
Could Omari Hutchinson sign for Brentford?
Despite his team getting relegated straight back to the Championship last year, Omari Hutchinson impressed during his brief time in the Premier League.
The English midfielder scored just three goals in the Premier League but in a team that struggled going forward he was one of the standout talents.
Once the season was over, Hutchinson also enjoyed a successful Euros campaign with the England under-21’s that further boosted his profile.

After scoring a crucial goal in the final it is no surprise that top Premier League clubs are registering their interest in Hutchinson.
How much would Omari Hutchinson cost?
The Ipswich star made his move to the Tractor Boys at the beginning of their Premier League campaign last year, having spent the previous season on loan with the club in the Championship.
Ipswich paid a reported fee of £18million to get their man in 2024 and his contract came with a £35million release clause, so the fan favourite could turn a quick profit for the Championship side after just one full season.
Hutchinson is contracted at Ipswich until 2029 and with the club already early favourites to win the Championship next season according to the best football betting sites at a price of 4/1, he may decide that staying in East Anglia is best for his career.
