Crystal Palace have found out who they will play in the Conference League this season just days after being demoted from the Europa League.
After winning the FA Cup last season, Crystal Palace thought they had secured a spot in the highly coveted Europa League.
UEFA’s multi-club ownership rules have demoted Palace though. Palace owner John Textor owns 90% of Lyon and 43% of the South London club and with both qualifying for the Europa League only one was allowed to remain.
The Eagles lost their appeal to UEFA and as a result will play in the Conference League this season.
With the League Phase draw for the Conference League now done, Palace know who they will face in the competition this year.
Odds are’t yet out for the Conference League but as the only Premier League side in the draw, Crystal Palace are sure to be near the top of the market with UK betting sites.
Scottish side Aberdeen are the only other British team in the competition – see their draw below along with Palace.

Crystal Palace fans react to Conference League draw
Crystal Palace fans still have some exciting trips ahead of them this season, with away games in Ireland and France.
The most enticing fixture on paper appears to be Strasbourg away.

Palace also face Irish side Shelbourne, who are making their first appearance in the Conference League after beating Linfield in qualifiers.
With the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Eagles’ clash against Dynamo Kyiv will be played at a neutral ground in Hamburg.
Fans were quick to react to the Conference League draw with many still buoyed despite the demotion to Europes third tier competition.
One fan replied to the fixtures on X, saying: “Still surreal. Up the Palace!”
With another predicting: “4 wins and 2 draws” from the league phase.
Another added: “Fixtures are mid but hopefully the knockouts will be more competitive.”

With the League Phase draw for the Conference League now over, fixture dates are being planned.
