Dave Allen Dillian Whyte - Boxing

British heavyweight contender and fan-favourite Dave Allen has given his Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte pre-fight prediction.

The 24-7-2 fighter has given a bold prediction ahead of the compelling heavyweight match-up in Riyadh this Saturday night between two of Britain’s best heavyweights.

Dave Allen Gives Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte Prediction

When it comes to boxing, it’s fair to say that Dave Allen knows a thing or two. Not only that, but he has first hand experience of what it’s like to share a ring with Dillian Whyte.

Saturday’s main event in Riyadh sees Moses Itauma take another huge step-up in class against the former world heavyweight title contender.

Although it is a massive step up, boxing betting sites have priced Itauma as an overwhelming 1/9 favourite to beat ‘The Body Snatcher’.

Allen was last seen knocking out Johnny Fisher in their rematch at the Copper Box Arena back in May, and is now preparing for a huge heavyweight contest of his own against Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, October 11.

Prior to his own heavyweight clash, the ‘White Rhino’ has given a bold prediction for the upcoming Itauma vs Whyte fight on Saturday night in Riyadh.

The 33-year-old was well beaten by Whyte back in July 2016, but cannot see his former foe getting his hand raised this weekend when up against the 12-0 Itauma.

Despite being just 20-years-old and a novice in boxing terms, Moses Itauma’s next fight against the former world title challenger is one the majority of people are expecting him to win in style, including Dave Allen.

Allen: ‘I Expect Itauma To Win Inside The Distance’

Speaking in a recent interview on talkSPORT’s talkBOXING podcast, Dave Allen gave his totally honest assessment of the upcoming Itauma vs Whyte fight.

Allen has of course shared the ring with ‘The Body Snatcher’ before, losing via wide unanimous decision. However, he feels his former foe is well past his best and no match for the young, hungry and supremely talented Moses Itauma.

The Doncaster-born heavyweight believes the fight could go longer than some people are predicting, but that Itauma will have too much for Whyte and secure another knockout:

“I think Dillian Whyte has had three fights in three years, and at 37 years of age, I expect Itauma to win inside the distance.

“Dillian Whyte at his best was a world-class heavyweight, but we haven’t seen him at that level for five or six years.

“They aren’t daft, they wouldn’t put him in with Dillian Whyte if they thought he was anywhere near his best,” concluded the ‘White Rhino’.

Dave Allen’s Itauma vs Whyte Prediction Priced @ 2/9 Odds

Dillian Whyte’s next fight sees him as a huge underdog against Moses Itauma on Saturday night. Itauma, who is only 20-years-old, is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in world boxing.

Odds makers have certainly written ‘The Body Snatcher’ off for his upcoming fight against the 12-0 British heavyweight. You can get odds of 11/2 for Whyte just to beat Itauma, with 9/1 odds for him to stop the youngster.

The Ben Davison-trained Itauma on the other hand is as short at 1/9 to win the fight outright against the former world heavyweight title challenger, who has shared the ring with both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Not only that, but odds on an Itauma KO, TKO or Disqualification are as short as 2/9 in places. This is exactly what Dave Allen is predicting, with no real value in backing Allen’s Itauma vs Whyte tip.

Backing Itauma to win the fight via knockout in a certain round or few rounds does present value, but backing him to win the fight outright or via stoppage is odds on.
