Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed they are both interested in Hugo Ekitike. Boca Juniors are well aware of the growing interest in their midfielder, but coach Miguel Angel Russo wants him to stay for one more season. Boca president Juan Roman Riquelme, however, is not opposed to the idea of selling him to a European club. He is reportedly contemplating adding a beefy €20 million (£17.1 million) release clause in Delgado’s contract. An additional sell-on clause could also be baked in. Delgado’s current deal with Boca Juniors runs until Dec 31, 2028. The youngster has yet to make his Club World Cup debut. He was an unused substitute in Boca’s 2-2 draw with Benfica on Monday, June 16.
