Premier League Betting Tips On Saturday: Chelsea Put Formidable Everton Home Record On The Line
After the hectic European midweek action, this weekend’s Premier League games are spread out fairly evenly over Saturday and Sunday, plus one on Monday.
We get going on Saturday though with FOUR matches that see league heavyweights, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all in action.
All three will head into the weekend having dropped points last week too, so will be looking to bounce back.
With one of the games seeing struggling Liverpool hosting Brighton at 3pm – where another defeat for the Reds will add further pressure to Arne Slot in the Premier League sack race odds market.
The Gunners will also see Man City hot on their heels in the table (just two points between them).
But despite some Arsenal injury news seeing some big players out, they face an easy-looking home clash against rock bottom Wolves.
So, if you are having a wager on Saturday’s big games – see our quick-fire stats-based Premier League betting tips, which will hopefully point you in the direction of a few winners.
You can also see our Sunday Premier League betting tips here, that include Crystal Palace vs Man City.
Chelsea vs Everton 15:00
The Blues were held 0-0 at Bournemouth last weekend and also lost on Tuesday in Europe to Atalanta.
And with these results coming off a defeat against Leeds and a draw to Arsenal – this all means Chelsea haven’t won in four.
So Enzo Maresca and co will want stop the rot on Saturday, but the good news is they are back at home.
Plus also face a side they have a formidable record at home against – Everton.
Chelsea haven’t lost to the Toffees at the Bridge in the league since 1994 (30 games).
With that loss their only defeat to the Merseysiders in front of their home fans in the Premier League era.
Six of the last seven H2H’s also saw both teams NOT scoring, so this could be an option at Evs.
Eight of the last 10 also went UNDER 2.5 GOALS (10/11), but there was a thumping 6-0 Chelsea win in this fixture two seasons ago.
But Everton also haven’t scored in their last three vs Chelsea.
Therefore, we’ll take Chelsea to get back on track with their top home record over Everton – but both teams NOT to score looks the value here.
BEST BET: BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE @ Evs
Match Odds
- Chelsea 4/6
- Draw 3/1
- Everton 4/1
Liverpool vs Brighton 15:00
Liverpool’s yo-yo season continues – after a 3-3 draw to Leeds last weekend, they bounced back with a top 1-0 away win against Inter Milan in midweek.
While the Mo Salah/Arne Slot saga continues to be an added sub-plot surrounding the Reds at the moment.
Anyway, next up for the Champions, who are out to 40/1 to win the league, is a home clash with Brighton.
The match betting sees Liverpool as favourites at 7/10, but on old form would normally be more like 1/3 for a game like this.
Therefore, some punters will see that as value and make them one of the solid Premier League betting tips of the weekend.
However, Liverpool can’t be backed with any confidence at the moment.
Brighton will know this too and are sure to be going for the jugular.
But what we do know is that recent clashes between these sides have seen many goals.
The last two repeat fixtures have ended 2-1 to Liverpool, which is on offer at 17/2.
Plus ALL of the last eight meetings went OVER 2.5 GOALS, which could be the way to play this one at 8/15.
BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 8/15
Match Odds
- Liverpool 7/10
- Draw 3/1
- Brighton 4/1
Burnley vs Fulham 17:30
Despite being 1/10 to be relegated and second from bottom in the table, Burnley will know a win over Fulham in the Saturday 5:30pm offering will see them move only two points off Leeds and Forest.
Fulham are not safe either on just 17 points and head into the weekend in 15th, but are still the bookie’s favourites to win this match at 10/11.
With Burnley coming up, they last meet in the 2023/24 season and the home side will gain hope remembering they took four points off the Cottagers.
In fact, the Clarets are unbeaten in their six vs Fulham.
Oh – and did you know Burnley are 32 games at home (all comps) unbeaten against Fulham?
The last time the Londoners won away at Fulham was in 1951 – wow!
Maybe the Burnley players will be reminded of this mad stat.
But if they are, it might make them raise their game.
So the 5/6 in the Double Chance market on Burnley/Draw looks value.
BEST BET: DOUBLE CHANCE – BURNLEY/DRAW @ 5/6
Match Odds
- Burnley 3/1
- Draw 5/2
- Fulham Evs
Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers 20:00
The Premier League table-toppers Arsenal didn’t waste any time getting over their 2-1 defeat to Villa – with a 3-0 away win in midweek in the Champions League at Brugge.
And with Manchester City now creeping up in the Londoners they will be pleased to see their next league game is an easy-looking home clash against Wolves, who are rock bottom of the league.
Wanderers are as short as 1/66 to be relegated.
While they are a massive 28/1 to win this game – probably one of the biggest match odds the Premier League has seen for a long time.
Arsenal did the double over Wolves last season too, winning this clash 2-0 and 1-0 on the road.
In fact, Wanderers haven’t scored against Arsenal in their last three and only netted ONE against them in the last six H2H’s.
There could be an Arsenal injury doubt surrounding top defender Jurrien Timber, but that shouldn’t prevent an easy win here.
So, with this in mind, it’s hard to see the visitors even getting on the scoresheet here.
Take Arsenal to ‘win to nil’ at 4/7
BEST BET: ARSENAL WIN TO NIL @ 4/7
Match Odds
- Wolves 28/1
- Draw 9/1
- Arsenal 1/8
