Premier League Betting Tips On Sunday: Palace vs City League Clashes Saw 11 Goals Last Season

After the four games on Saturday, the Premier League action returns on Sunday with FIVE more matches to look out for.

With four as 2pm kick-offs that include title challengers Manchester City travelling to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

Plus there is an all-claret clash as West Ham host Aston Villa.

While the Sunday fixtures round off with Brentford entertaining Leeds in the 4:30pm offering.

Where a defeat for the away side will pile more pressure on manager Daniel Farke in the Premier League sack race betting odds market – who is already second favourite to go next.

So, if you are having a wager on Sunday’s big games – see our quick-fire stats-based Premier League betting tips, which will hopefully point you in the direction of a few winners.

You can also see our Saturday Premier League betting tips here, that include Arsenal vs Wolves.

Crystal Palace vs Man City 14:00

Heading into week 16, Palace probably didn’t think they’d be in a table-topping clash with Man City – but that’s exactly what is happening on Sunday.

Despite a few iffy results, FA Cup winners Palace have continued their good form into this season and find themselves on 26 points after 15 games.

And are just five away from prolific league winners Manchester City, who they host this weekend.

City are also down to 19/10 in the title race to catch Arsenal – having been 4/1+ just a few months ago.

Plus will, of course, want their revenge over Palace, who beat them 1-0 in the FA Cup Final back in May.

But despite that low-scoring game, their recent league meetings have seen a stack of goals – including a 2-2 draw in this clash last season.

And also a 5-2 City win in the reverse fixture last term – meaning there were 11 goals in their last two league H2H’s.

Add to that another 10 in total in the 2023/24 season, then the stats are certainly pointing us towards goals here.

Therefore, both teams to score at 8/13 is interesting, but OVER 2.5 GOALS is slightly better value at 4/6 and looks the way to go.

BEST BET: OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 4/6

Match Odds

  • Man City 4/5
  • Draw 11/4
  • C Palace 3/1

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham 14:00

Both Forest and Spurs gained nice wins in midweek in Europe, but Tottenham have had two extra days to freshen up and that could be key here.

Despite Spurs being 11th in the table and Forest back in 17th, the home side are favoured in the match betting at 6/4, with Spurs 7/4 and the draw 9/4.

But maybe this is because the bookies know Forest did the double over Spurs last season – winning this fixture 1-0, which can be backed again at 17/2.

However, the two repeat clashes before last season both ended in 2-0 away wins for Tottenham (14/1).

So a tricky game to call.

The last three H2H’s played out at the City Ground also went UNDER 2.5 GOALS, so this might appeal at 4/5.

That said, in a game that any outcome wouldn’t shock, then surely the draw has to be the way to go at 12/5.

BEST BET: DRAW @ 12/5

Match Odds

  • Nottm Forest 13/8
  • Draw 12/5
  • Tottenham 15/8

West Ham vs Aston Villa 14:00

West Ham keep threatening to get their season going but are just drawing too many games at the moment – including their last two 1-1.

All this has seen them stay in-and-around the bottom of the table with only 13 points and have won just the three in the league all season.

The Hammers are 11/10 to be relgated.

They face Villa next in an all-claret clash and the bookies are suggesting it might be a tough afternoon for the Hammers – with Villa the Evs favourites to win.

Villa also head here with a win in Europe on Thursday and will still be buzzing from a win over league leaders Arsenal last Saturday.

That saw them climb to third in the table (30th) and are firmly in the title race despite the layers making them 40/1 to win their first Premier League.

This repeat fixture last season ended West Ham 1-2 A Villa, which was the same scoreline when they met in the FA Cup last term too.

You can back another 2-1 Villa win at 17/2.

But the stats bet here is heavily pushing us towards both teams to score.

This bet has paid out in the last six H2H’s and also in 11 of the last 12 – giving it a stonking 92% SR.

BEST BET: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 8/11

Match Odds

  • A Villa Evs
  • Draw 5/2
  • West Ham 11/4

Sunderland vs Newcastle 14:00

A huge match here for the latest bragging rights in the Wear-Tyne Derby, so form can often go out of the window.

That said, newly-promoted Sunderland have surprised many this season and have already banked 23 points this season – which is one more than their rivals here Newcastle.

The Black Cats will have home advantage, but the bookies still think Newcastle are the ones to beat, making them the 5/4 jollies.

But the good news for Sunderland is they should be fresher, with the Magpies having a hard 2-2 game in Germany in midweek at Leverkusen.

They last met in the FA Cup in 2024, which ended Sunderland 0-3 Newcastle.

However, prior to that Sunderland have done well at home vs Newcastle – being unbeaten in the three previous encounters.

Both teams haven’t scored in five of the last six, so this might appeal at 4/5.

The last time they met in the league at Sunderland there was also a red card (Newcastle), so in an expected fiery match, cards or a sending off could be worth looking into.

But in a game with a lot at stake the draw at 9/4 looks decent value that is sure to give you a run for your money

BEST BET: DRAW @ 9/4

Match Odds

  • Newcastle 5/4
  • Draw 9/4
  • Sunderland 9/4

Brentford vs Leeds 16:30

The final of the Sunday Premier League betting tips come in the 5:30pm game – and let’s be honest it’s not a Christmas Cracker (unless you are one of their fans).

Leeds will be buzzing from their 3-3 draw with Liverpool last weekend and Brentford suffered a loss to Spurs.

But Leeds are still 16th in the table and 5/2 to be relegated, with the next Leeds manager betting odds market being very active all season, with boss Daniel Farke under continued pressure.

So it’s no real shock to see Brentford favourites in the match betting at Evs as the Bees look to build on their 19 points.

The sides last met in the 2022/23 season, with Brentford taking four points off Leeds that campaign – with this repeat fixture ending 5-2 to the home side.

Brentford are much better at home though, having lost just one in the league this season at the Gtech Community Stadium (five wins).

Whereas, Leeds have only won one on the road this season and losing the rest (six)

Therefore, to end Sunday, let’s not over-complicate things here – Brentford should be hard to beat and look fair value at Evs.

BEST BET: BRENTFORD WIN @ Evs

Match Odds

  • Brentford Evs
  • Draw 13/5
  • Leeds 3/1
