Mirra Andreeva In Running For WTA Finals In Singles And Doubles

18-year-old Mirra Andreeva is having a stellar tennis season. She won two WTA 1000 singles tournaments earlier this year at Indian Wells and Dubai, and she followed it up with a WTA 1000 doubles win at the Miami Open with Diana Shnaider.

Her consistent success throughout the season, including those big wins, has Andreeva in the position to qualify for the WTA Finals in singles and doubles in 2025. The WTA Finals is the end-of-year tournament, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in November, exclusive to the world’s top eight ranked players/teams.

Andreeva has never qualified for the WTA Finals, in either discipline, in her career.

Mirra Andreeva Singles Ranking

Andreeva is currently sitting in the seventh position with 4,189 points. Only two players, Aryna Sabalenka (9,610) and Iga Swiatek (8,033), have locked in their spots in Riyadh.

There is less than 1,000 points separating the third through seventh ranked players: Coco Gauff (5,184), Amanda Anisimova (4,908), Madison Keys (4,450), Jessica Pegula (4,209), and Andreeva.

With two WTA 1000 tournaments in the coming weeks, the China Open from September 24 through October 5 and the Wuhan Open from October 6 through October 12, Andreeva can stake her claim to a spot with good results.

Andreeva has already posted an impressive 38-13 win-loss record so far in 2025.

Mirra Andreeva Doubles Ranking

Andreeva and Shnaider, by virtue of solid performances beyond the big Brisbane International and Miami Open wins, are in fifth position in the race to the WTA Finals in doubles.

The four teams in front of them are this year’s Grand Slam champions: Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova (#1 and Australian Open champions), Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (#2 and French Open champions), Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe (#3 and US Open champions), and Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova (#4 and Wimbledon champions).

If she qualifies for the WTA Finals in singles and doubles, she would be the first player to do it since Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula did it in 2023. The WTA Finals begin November 1.
