Jason Kelce officially retired from the NFL after 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles during an emotional 45-minute speech on Monday afternoon. The future Pro Football Hall of Famer will go down as one of the greatest centers of all-time and one of the funniest personalities in sports.

All of Kelce’s close friends and family were in the audience for the ceremony. That included his brother Travis, who is dating Taylor Swift.

Fans of the international pop icon, known as Swifties, were among the people watching Kelce’s speech at home. They are convinced that he worked subtle references to his little brother’s girlfriend into his speech. At the very least, they believe that he drew inspiration from Swift.

Did Jason Kelce give love to Taylor Swift in his speech?

While speaking to the impact that Travis and Philadelphia has had on his life, Jason made a creative tie between the two. He finished the sentence with three key words.

“It’s only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the City of Brotherly Love,” Kelce said. “I knew that relationship all too well.”

All Too Well is one of Swift’s most famous songs.

Not long thereafter, as Kelce continued to speak about Philly, the 36-year-old dropped another prominent Swift song title.

“If you go above and beyond in this city, you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams,” he said.

That might have been a reference to Wildest Dreams.

We may never know if Kelce drew inspiration from Swift, or if his two mentions of her song titles were on purpose. More than likely, it was a coincidence to which Swifties took to mean something that it was not.

If we have learned anything from Kelce’s NFL career, he is always intentional in his words and one of the funniest characters in the league. We cannot rule out his genius.

There is a real possibility that saying “all too well” and “wildest dreams” in his retirement speech was a tip of the hat to the Swifties who have embraced him. Maybe one day Kelce will reveal the truth?!
