Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens got the last laugh Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Malcolm Butler may have picked off the Ravens quarterback and was shown giving Jackson the finger during the game with the Titans holding a 10-0 lead. The Ravens stormed back for a 20-13 victory and Jackson reacted to Butler’s gesture on Thursday.

Things were chippy during Sunday’s Ravens vs. Titans game

The two teams had met the year before in the playoffs. The Tennessee Titans went into Baltimore and shocked the top-seeded Ravens to advance to the AFC title game against the Chiefs. Last Sunday, the Ravens and Titans met again in the playoffs, this time in Tennessee.

According to The Sporting News, the teams had a pregame issue prior to their Week 11 meeting this year. Ravens coach John Harbaugh and Titans defensive back Malcolm Butler had some words before the game as several members of the Titans gathered on the Ravens logo at midfield. The Titans won that game 30-24 in overtime.

On Sunday, the Ravens rallied from a 10-0 deficit after the first quarter to win 20-13. After the game, the Ravens exacted revenge by stomping all over the Titans logo as Tennessee was eliminated from the playoffs.

The Ravens and Titans don’t like each other

It was a chippy game Sunday and it looked like the Tennessee Titans might knock off the Baltimore Ravens for the second straight year in the playoffs. Tennessee led 10-0 in the second quarter before quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens put together 17 straight points and led 17-10 in the fourth quarter.

After the Titans kicked a field goal four seconds into the fourth quarter to cut their deficit to 17-13, the Ravens added a field goal of their own with 4:19 to play. The Titans struggled against the Ravens defense and Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was intercepted with 1:50 remaining to seal the deal for the Ravens.

The win was the first of the postseason for Jackson. Jackson finished the game with 136 rushing yards, including a 48-yard touchdown run. The victory sends the Ravens to Buffalo this weekend to take on the second-seeded Buffalo Bills.

Lamar Jackson responds to Malcolm Butler flipping him off

During an interview with NBC Sports’ Jac Collinsworth on Thursday, Collinsworth brought up Malcolm Butler flipping off Lamar Jackson during the game. The incident happened when the Titans were up 10-0 and an official had to separate the two players. Collinsworth asked what was Jackson thinking when Butler flipped him the bird?

“I was like, yeah, um, all right,” Jackson said. “I got something for you. But they did a lot of talking on the field. I didn’t really do too much. I wasn’t sticking my bird up at nobody. I’m not gonna do that. It’s all good.”

Jackson said the game is behind them and the focus is now on the Buffalo Bills. “We’re not gonna dwell on that one victory,” he said. “We gotta get ready for Buffalo.”
