After two years of trying to film the behind-the-scenes action of the ATP and WTA tours, Netflix has decided not to renew its docu-series Break Point for a third season.

Break Point will not be getting a third season. According to information from The Times, which we are able to confirm, the platform has decided not to renew the behind-the-scenes docu-series on the ATP and WTA tours.

The reason for the decision was the lack of access to the sport’s main stars (such as Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal) and lower ratings than for its sister series, (Drive to Survive for Formula 1 and Full Swing for golf).

While the results of Break Point ‘s second season have not yet been released, the first season only made the Netflix weekly Top 10 in three countries worldwide (Australia, New Zealand and Ireland), and for only one week.

From January to June 2023, it had attracted three times fewer subscribers than season 5 of Drive to Survive and almost half as many as the premiere of Full Swing.

By contrast, the Netflix Slam on March 3, the live broadcast exhibition match between Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal (6-3, 4-6, 14-12), was the most viewed Netflix program in Spain that day, and the seventh most watched in the USA.
