Dez Bryant Says Dallas Cowboys Will Draft Shedeur Sanders In 2025

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to X on Wednesday to share an explosive rumor regarding the team’s NFL Draft plans. Dallas has the No. 11 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and has been linked to several offensive playmakers, including Ashton Jeanty and Tetairoa McMillan. But Bryant believes that the Cowboys will go in another direction with their first-round pick.
Despite the fact that QB Dak Prescott remains under contract, Bryant says that he has ‘a feeling’ that the Cowboys will opt to select Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft. The move could also open up a potential Dallas reunion with Shedeur’s father Deion Sanders as well.
Sanders is expected to be one of the top two quarterbacks available but has been sliding down draft boards in recent weeks. On the other hand, fellow quarterback prospect Jaxson Dart’s stock has been rising with Mel Kiper Jr. projecting the Ole Miss product going as high as No. 9 to the New Orleans Saints.

Could The Dallas Cowboys Trade Up For Shedeur Sanders?
If the Cowboys are serious about selecting Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft, they may have to move up to get him.
However, if Shedeur slides past the NY Giants at No. 3, there’s a good chance he could remain available until at least the No. 9 pick.
That’s because several teams picking from No. 4 through No. 8 already have long-term answers at quarterback, including the New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers. If that’s the case, it wouldn’t cost Dallas a lot of draft capital to make the move from No. 11 to No. 9.
Another option would include Dallas trading Prescott, along with significant draft capital to a team like the Cleveland Browns in order to move into the top three. That would guarantee them a shot at Sanders.
Will Dallas Pursue Deion Sanders As A Future Head Coach?
Though Deion Sanders hasn’t left Boulder, Colorado to become an NFL head coach, there were rumblings that Jerry Jones might have been interested in a reunion with his All-Pro cornerback in the offseason. Sanders was among the leading candidates for the Cowboys head coaching job before Jones landed on Brian Schottenheimer.
At the time, Shedeur Sanders appeared a longshot to make it to the Cowboys, leaving a potential reunion with Deion out of the question in Arlington. But with the becoming more of a possibility, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Sanders on the Cowboys sideline as early as the 2026 or 2027 season.
