Packers vs. Titans First Touchdown Scorer Picks: 3 Juicy Bets for Thursday Night Football
It’s time for another edition of Thursday Night Football, and we’ve got a fascinating matchup on our hands with the Green Bay Packers welcoming the Tennessee Titans to Lambeau Field this week. The 4-6 Packers will try to build off the momentum of last week’s win against the Dallas Cowboys to get back in the NFC playoff hunt, while the 6-3 Titans will look to strengthen their grip on the AFC South lead.
Let’s make this TNF matchup a bit more entertaining by tossing a few first touchdown scorer bets for Packers-Titans.
Christian Watson +1100
Was Christian Watson’s breakout game against the Dallas Cowboys last week a fluke or a sign of things to come? No one truly knows the answer to that, but I’m banking on the latter here.
After recording just 10 catches for 88 yards and zero receiving touchdowns in his first six games of the year, Watson exploded for four catches, 104 yards, and three touchdowns last Sunday. The rookie wideout finally looks healthy, and Aaron Rodgers is clearly starting to trust him as a big-time weapon in this passing game.
The Packers struggled to put points on the board throughout their five-game losing streak, so it’s not a coincidence they scored a season-high 31 points in Watson’s best game of the season. This Green Bay offense needs Watson to be the star of the passing game moving forward, so I’ll take a chance on his momentum continuing at +1100 odds (FanDuel).
Treylon Burks +2000
The Treylon Burks breakout game is coming soon, and I think tonight could be the night.
Burks is the most talented wide receiver on this Titans roster, and it’s not particularly close. He just hasn’t had any time to build up chemistry with Ryan Tannehill because he’s missed four games due to injury. The rookie returned from IR last week and tied a season-high with six targets, but he still hasn’t found the end zone in his young career.
I think that could change on Thursday night.
Samori Toure +5500

You know we always have to throw in a longshot, right?
Samori Toure has only caught four passes in four games played this season, but one of them went for a 37-yard touchdown against the Buffalo Bills. The rookie possesses the speed to beat secondaries over the top, which is a trait we haven’t seen out of Green Bay’s group of wideouts this year.
Even though the 2022 Packers offense isn’t built for it, Rodgers still loves taking deep shots when he feels he has an advantage. If we do see one early against the Titans, I’ll take a shot on Toure at +5500.
