The Baltimore Ravens are back for another preseason run, which means Thursday night marks the return of one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. No, really. John Harbaugh’s squad has won an NFL record 20 straight preseason games, as it has gone undefeated in each of the last five seasons.

Sports bettors will be loading up on the Ravens to make it 21 in a row in their preseason opener against the Tennesee Titans Thursday night, but not me. Find out why I’m fading the preseason kings below.

Spread: Ravens -3 (-115), Titans +3 (-105)
Moneyline: Ravens -175, Titans +150
Over/under: 33 (-110)

To no one’s surprise, the Ravens opened as short betting favorites against the Titans for tonight’s game. The spread has wiggled up and down over the last few days, but it’s since settled at Baltimore -3.

We won’t see many starters on the offensive side for Harbaugh’s team. The longtime head coach already announced that Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews won’t be suiting up Thursday night. Tyler Huntley and Brett Hundley will carry the load under center. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards will also sit out as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.

As for the Titans, head coach Mike Vrabel has been rather quiet about which starters will suit up in the preseason opener. If Ryan Tannehill plays, it won’t be for more than a few series. Logan Woodside and rookie Malik Willis will take a majority of the snaps. Derrick Henry isn’t expected to play at any point in the preseason, but we should get a good look at rookie WR Treylon Burks.

The total for Thursday night’s game currently sits at 33, which has become the standard in preseason games because of their low-scoring nature.

Best bets for Ravens-Titans: Fade the preseason kings

Titans +3 (-105) and Titans ML (+150)

I can already see you gathering up your torches and pitchforks after reading that. Please put them down and let me explain.

This insane preseason run has to end at some point, and Vrabel is the type of head coach who will make it his mission to end it. Whether that means playing his starters longer than normal, being ultra aggressive on fourth downs, or busting out some trick plays, I’m not sure. But I do know he’s hearing all the love Baltimore is getting as it prepares to extend its streak, and Vrabel is going to shut everyone up.

If the second half turns into a Hundley vs. Willis showdown, I’ll give the nod to the rookie who needs to show Tennessee he can be the answer at QB for years to come. Willis can really sling it, and I expect him to be aggressive pushing the ball down the field.

The Ravens’ reign comes to an end tonight!
