The storylines are already there. It will be Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady. It’s the Green Bay Packers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team most had as the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Now there will be another one to watch out for after Green Bay’s backup running back Jamaal Williams took a shot at Brady during his weekly radio show this week.

The Buccaneers haven’t quite lived up to the hype yet

After 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady left via free agency and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After Brady signed his two-year deal, the Buccaneers continued to make moves to build around the six-time Super Bowl champion. The Bucs already had one of the best receiving tandems in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin

The Buccaneers then traded for Brady’s long-time tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski is a five-time Pro Bowler and was one of Brady’s favorite targets with the Patriots. Then the Bucs brought in running back Leonard Fournette, who had been cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fournette was a very effective runner who was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Despite all the hype, the Buccaneers lost their season opener to the New Orleans Saints. The Bucs won three straight, defeating the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Denver Broncos before dropping a decision to the Chicago Bears last Thursday.

The Packers have been impressive

The Green Bay Packers are off to a 4-0 start but haven’t faced the toughest of schedules. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be Green Bay’s toughest test after the Packers rattled off wins over the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. Only the Saints have a winning record.

While the opponents haven’t been strong, Green Bay’s offense has. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been as close to perfect as any quarterback in the league. Rodgers has thrown 13 touchdown passes and hasn’t been intercepted in four games.

Green Bay has been able to rack up the points this year. The Packers have scored at least 30 points in each of the four games, hitting 40 in their first two. The Packers are the only team to have not turned the ball over this season.

Jamaal Williams takes a dig at Tom Brady

During his radio show this week, Green Bay Packers backup running back Jamaal Williams had a little bit of fun at the expense of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. He was asked what quarterback was better, Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady.

“Come on, man,” Williams said, according to NFL.com. “I’m pretty sure my quarterback knows what fourth down is, you know what I mean? That’s what I’m saying, like, Aaron Rodgers would never do that. Never. You know what I mean? “He’s too smart for that.

“We would never be in that type of situation because A-Rod is always prepared, always looking at the clock. We’ve got too many people who are just too ready to go. We’ve been in those types of pressure situations before so I feel like it’s just natural for us to be on top of everything and go ball. I would never expect that from my boy (Rodgers).”
