Joey Logano
Joey Logano is a NASCAR Cup Series driver who has competed full-time with the series since 2009.
Before he arrived in NASCAR, the young Logano was winning numerous events in the northeast. At age 15, Mark Martin said he was “the real deal.”
While there were high expectations for Logano, his career got off to a slow start at Joe Gibbs Racing, where he won just two races in four seasons. In 2013, he moved to Team Penske. A year later, he had a breakout season, winning five times and finishing fifth in the season standings.
Since joining Penske, Logano has won 27 times, including the 2015 Daytona 500. The 2018 season is a memorable one for Logano as he captured his first season championship.
Joey Logano endured a start to the defense of his third NASCAR Cup Series championship that he would like to drive away from. During the opening 10 races, Logano failed to log a top-five finish, developing into the first reigning champ to go about three months with only finishes outside the top six. The skid […]
So much for the season-long slump by the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion. While surviving the attrition at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, Joey Logano earned his first win and top-five finish in 11 events. Logano, who led just seven of 271 laps, won in overtime after claiming the lead for good after passing Michael […]
NASCAR Cup Series driver Joey Logano meant for the sarcasm to come through loud and clear: “Way to go, Austin. Way to go, you (&!^%)!” Logano wasn’t congratulating the eventual winner of Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. The reigning circuit titleholder sounded off on his team radio following the second stage. Cindric did […]
With more than a quarter of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season complete, a few trends are developing as the circuit emerges from its Easter weekend vacation for Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway: Two organizations are positioning a pair of pilots for championship runs. Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron, the points leader with 346, […]
No doubt, Bubba Wallace entered last weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Homestead-Miami Speedway feeling pressure. Wallace does, in fact, drive for 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan, the NBA Hall of Famer. In his opening five outings this season, Wallace registered an average finish of 23rd. The No. 23 Toyota team needed a strong finish and […]
Over the course of 75 years, Wood Brothers Racing has experienced all of the ups and downs that professional motorsports can offer. Over the last few decades, though, the fabled organization founded by the late NASCAR legend Glen Wood has floundered a lot more than it has flourished. But the arrival of Josh Berry as […]
Denny Hamlin watched Joey Logano drive low during the Lap 18 restart of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Phoenix Raceway. Too low. Logano appeared to possess one of the strongest Stage 1 machines. The reigning circuit champion qualified second and briefly led during the opening five rotations. As Noah Gragson collided with Cole Custer, […]
NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron may have captured the pole position for Sunday’s Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway, but could have lost a friend in the process. “I don’t like William Byron anymore,” Joey Logano said with a laugh, as reported by NASCAR.com. “Man, that stinks. I just got through telling (crew […]
While forecasts have indicated that rain could put a damper on Sunday’s proceedings at Daytona International Speedway, wet weather isn’t always a nuisance. That’s especially true if you’re AJ Allmendinger, Chase Elliott or Joey Logano. These three drivers, all on this weekend’s Daytona 500 starting grid, have enjoyed stellar runs in soggy conditions in fairly […]
No matter how you slice it, Sunday night’s Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium was a major success for NASCAR. Not only did fans pack the stands and the sport’s most popular driver score a popular win, but the participants got to sleep in their own beds — which rarely happens over the lengthy […]
