Tom Brady’s final throw this year came during a parade for the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady, who was feeling pretty good at the parade, tossed the Lombardi Trophy from one boat to another during a celebration. Brady completed the pass as tight end Cameron Brate caught it, but the throw infuriated one woman who has demanded an apology from the quarterback.

The Tampa Bay Bucs underwent a major overhaul in 2020

The New England Patriots’ loss was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ gain. For the first time in 20 years, Tom Brady tested the free agency market. He wasn’t on the market long as the Bucs scooped him up with a two-year deal worth $50 million.

After the Buccaneers signed Brady, the team went all-in to win this season. The Bucs coaxed Brady’s friend and former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, out of retirement. They then worked out a trade with the Patriots to bring Gronk to Tampa. Tampa also signed another former teammate of Brady’s when they landed wide receiver Antonio Brown.

The Buccaneers already had one of the league’s best wide-receiver tandems in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. The Bucs also added former first-round pick Leonard Fournette to shore up their running game. Brady thrived in an offense that had weapons as he tossed 40 touchdown passes during the regular season.

Tom Brady collects seventh Super Bowl ring

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the regular season with an 11-5 record and were the fifth seed in the NFC. They were forced to play three road games in the postseason and escaped with victories in all of them. Brady and the Bucs pulled out wins over the Washington Football Team, New Orleans Saints, and the Green Bay Packers.

As they were against the Saints and Packers, the Buccaneers were underdogs heading into Super Bowl 55 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs, like the Saints, had beaten the Buccaneers during the regular season, but Tampa Bay dominated the Super Bowl. Brady registered the seventh Super Bowl title of his career.

The Buccaneers held a boat parade on Wednesday to celebrate the team’s victory. It was their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

Tom Brady really upset a woman for tossing the Super Bowl trophy

There was a lot of laughing and partying going on in Tampa during the parade to celebrate the Buccaneers’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55. One person who was not laughing was Lorraine Grohs, who was fuming when Brady tossed the Lombardi Trophy to a teammate during the celebration. Grohs is the daughter of Greg Grohs, master silversmith at Tiffany and Company for 27 years. Greg Grohs helped create the first Lombardi Trophy.

“It just upset me that this trophy was disgraced and disrespected by being thrown as if it was a real football,” said Lorraine Grohs to Fox 4 Southwest Florida. “I have a big history of this trophy being made by my father and it’s such an honor and I know all the craftsmen that made it when my dad was there also at Tiffany’s and it takes a lot of hard work.”

According to Fox 4, Grohs said she had sleepless nights knowing the pride her father put is work was not taken seriously. Grohs, who said she only watches the end of the Super Bowl to see the winning team hoist the trophy, is asking for an apology from Brady. “I personally would like an apology, not just to me and my family and the other silversmiths but to the fans, all the football fans the other team players,” she said.
