Andrew starts the new week with two stats-based selections at Plumpton and Ffos Las on Monday, December 2nd…

PLUMPTON 12.50

GIVEHIMTHEHONOUR (system – David Pipe chasers, early-season break returners)

David Pipe does well with chasers returning from a break of 150 days or longer, especially in the earlier months of the peak jumps season (October to January). He’s scored with 78 of the 360 qualifiers (21.7%) for a profit of £137.71 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 52.58, A/E = 1.48).

GIVEHIMANHONOUR, ex-Paul Nolan, can make a winning start for his new handler.

FFOS LAS 3.45

HAUT FOLIN (system – Venetia William, handicap chasers in December)

I’ve often written about how well Venetia Williams does with her handicap chasers in the month of November and, while the profits are not as great, they are still worth following into December, with 148 winners from 714 bets this century (20.7%) for a profit of £89.55 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 115.36, A/E = 1.28).

HAUT FAULIN, a course and distance winner on his reappearance last term, is the latest qualifier.
