The latest Christopher Nkunku transfer news has indicated that the Chelsea forward is keen on joining Manchester United before the transfer window closes.
According to CaughtOffside, Nkunku is relishing a potential switch to Old Trafford and is hoping to complete the move prior to the February 3 deadline.
Nkunku was strongly considered by Bayern Munich earlier this month. However, the Bundesliga giants were unable to strike a deal with the west Londoners.
The Blues had set an asking price of approximately £58 million for Nkunku. That essentially ruled the Bavarians out of the running.
Furthermore, Enzo Maresca’s side will now consider a loan move with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. Something of which the Red Devils are happy to take advantage of.
Meanwhile, Mathys Tel is reportedly not keen on a move to Stamford Bridge. The Bayern forward is understood to want to fight for his place at the Allianz Arena. Thus clouding Nkunku’s long-term availability into doubt but United remain confident of striking a deal.

Christopher Nkunku Transfer News Indicates Manchester United Move Is Close
If the latest Christopher Nkunku transfer news is to be believed, Manchester United could be about to increase their attacking options.
United’s Premier League form has been poor so far in 2024/25. Furthermore, the Red Devils lack of an out-and-out goalscorer has been hugely concerning.
Only five sides in the top-flight have netted less than United this season and Nkunku would certainly relieve some of the pressure on flops Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Marcus Rashford’s Old Trafford future is still undecided. Even if he doesn’t force his move away, it’s unlikely he’ll feature under Ruben Amorim any time soon.
From Nkunku’s perspective, a move north could help reignite his career. The France international has struggled with injuries during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Since signing for the Blues in 2023, Nkunku has scored 16 times in 43 appearances across all competitions. Before moving to London, the 27-year-old was one of Europe’s hottest properties.
During his time with RB Leipzig, Nkunku scored an impressive 70 goals in 172 outings for the German side. If the forward rediscovers that form, United will have pulled off a small coup.
Amorim’s side are next in action when they take on FCSB in the Europa League. Ahead of the game, the best football betting sites in the UK have all the latest markets and odds.
