The latest Curtis Jones injury update has revealed that the Liverpool midfielder could return for Saturday’s clash against Bournemouth.
Jones came off in the recent 2-1 victory over Lille in the UEFA Champions League. Subsequently, he missed the 4-1 win against Ipswich on January 25.
The England midfielder was also absent during the 3-2 loss to PSV on Wednesday night. Manager Arne Slot admitted in the build up to the game in Eindhoven his participation was unlikely.
Those doubts were realised when Jones didn’t travel with the rest of the squad to Netherlands. However, Slot has indicated it’s now 50/50 whether Jones will be available for the Premier League clash with the Cherries.
Jones has featured in a total of 27 games across all competitions so far this season. The 24-year-old has chipped in with three goals and five assists.
Most notably, Jones scored on his Three Lions debut with a sublime backheel finish in the 3-0 win against Greece in the UEFA Nations League in October.

Curtis Jones Injury Update
Last week, Arne Slot confirmed that Jones would definitely miss the Ipswich game and most likely the PSV fixture, both of which he did.
“He will not be available for the [Ipswich] game. We have to wait and see how long it’s going to take. I’m not expecting months… but let’s see if he’s available for PSV or Bournemouth,” Slot told reporters.
The general feeling around Anfield now is that Jones will be passed fit to at least travel with the rest of the Liverpool squad for the Bournemouth game.
However, Thursday’s birthday boy (January 30) won’t be risked by Slot if there is the slightest doubt about his muscle injury. Especially with such an important game on the horizon.
A fit-again Harvey Elliott has slotted back into Slot’s side after he missed three months with a broken foot. First choice central midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are also available.
Ahead of Saturday’s game, the best football betting sites in the UK price Liverpool as the 5/8 favourites. Bournemouth can be backed at 15/4 with the draw 10/3.
