Crystal Palace Cruise Past Doncaster
Crystal Palace are through to the FA Cup fifth round after goals from Daniel Munoz and Justin Devenny ensured a comfortable 2-0 win over Doncaster at the Eco-Power Stadium.
Oliver Glasner’s side will now face south London rivals Millwall at Selhurst Park on the weekend of Saturday 1 March. Victory against The Lions will ensure Palace’s first quarter-final appearance since 2022.
Munoz continued his fine season in front of goal when he netted the opener after 31 minutes. The Colombian defender reacted fastest after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s effort struck the post and he prodded into an unguarded net.
Northern Irish international Devenny lobbed home after a fine Will Hughes through-ball eluded the Rovers defence on the 55th minute. That strike was the 21-year-old’s second in all competitions this season.
Glasner will be proud of his side’s efforts in South Yorkshire. The Premier League club faced a potential banana skin but banished those doubts with a mature and professional performance.
Crystal Palace Player Ratings Vs Doncaster (3-4-2-1)
Matt Turner – 7
The American shot-stopper didn’t have a huge amount to do but pulled off three saves to thwart Doncaster. Can expect to be busier against Millwall.
Marc Guehi – 7
A relatively quiet night for the England centre-back but showed his Premier League class when required. Earned his crust and kept a clean sheet.
Maxence Lacroix – 7
Similar to Guehi, the burly defender wasn’t called into action on too many occasions. Kept his marker under wraps and did what he had to with minimal fuss.
Chris Richards – 7
Another solid display from the 24-year-old who looks very much at home alongside Lacroix and Guehi. Defended well and helped support the attack.
Tyrick Mitchell – 7
Playing at left-wing back showed glimpses of his talents before coming off at the break. Will need to up the ante slightly to keep Ben Chilwell at bay.
Will Hughes – 8
Our Player of the Match who provided a beautiful assist for Justin Devenny’s goal. Looked cool, calmed and composed throughout and bossed the midfield.

Adam Wharton – 6
May feel hard done by to get a six but the England man is still finding his form and fitness after being out injured for so long. Put in a fine shift before going off.
Daniel Munoz – 8
Another super showing from the Colombian international. Reacted first after Mateta’s effort hit the post and was rightfully applauded when he went off late on.
Justin Devenny – 7
A brilliant lobbed finish put the game beyond doubt. Looked very lively and creative throughout and can be proud of his efforts.
Daichi Kamada – 7
Another Eagle who soared high and looked enthusiastic and productive. Linked up well with Devenny and caused Donny a few problems.
Jean-Philippe Mateta – 7
After his recent good form in front of goal, had a slightly subdued performance. Was unlucky to rattle the post from a smart free-kick which was eventually knocked in by Munoz.
