In the latest Arsenal contract news, Ian Wright fears the Gunners could find themselves in the same position as Liverpool with three star players on expiring deals.

Arsenal are 11 points short of Liverpool in the Premier League title race following their shock defeat to West Ham.

However, uncertainty surrounds Liverpool, with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all in the final year of their contracts.

While Arsenal don’t face the same problem this summer, legendary striker Ian Wright fears the club could be in the same situation in two-years time.

Arsenal Contract News: Wright Fears Saka, Gabriel And Saliba Could Run Down Current Deals

The Arsenal contracts of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel and William Saliba all expire in the summer of 2027.

Ian Wright fears that a lack of ambition could prompt the trio to hold off signing new deals. He expects there could be interest in the Arsenal trio if there is no positive contract news soon.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, he said: “When you’re talking about renewals the way they’re moving now, I bet those renewals are all going to be slow. We’re going to have a situation maybe like Liverpool with Trent, Salah and Virgil.

“If I’m one of these players, and their teams are going to be saying, ‘Let’s wait and see, we’ve got two years left so let’s wait and see who they get in the summer. I know the manager has signed again but let’s wait and see’.

“If they’re not going to get the kind of players that take us to the next step, look at Saliba. Real Madrid would take him tomorrow.

“Why not wait and see what’s going on in the summer to see the kind of players and calibre of player we’re signing. This is what the people upstairs need to be careful of.”

He went on to add: “This summer and who comes is f***ing vitally important to these players. There’s a lot going on right now that needs to be unpacked by these people upstairs and they better get it right. They better get it right.”

Arsenal fans will be hoping for some positive contract news and transfers during the next transfer window this summer.
