Liverpool will be well rested going into the first-leg of the R16 clash owing to their early FA Cup exit at the hands of Plymouth last month.
Arne Slot’s side beat Newcastle last Wednesday to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister netted in the 2-0 win at Anfield.
On their last trip to Paris in 2018, the Reds lost 2-1 in Europe’s elite club competition. The group stage defeat turned out to be surplus as the Merseysiders went on to win the competition after beating Tottenham in the final.
This season, Slot’s men topped the 36-team league stage having won seven of their eight games. The only blemish came against PSV on January 29.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be missing Tyler Morton, Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez through injury. Youngster Amara Nallo is suspended after seeing red against PSV.
