Watch the highlights as late drama at Goodison Park saw Everton snatch a point against West Ham.
Everton came into this game on an eight-match unbeaten run, looking to continue their resurgence under David Moyes. Their recent 1-1 draw with Wolves kept them in 15th place, level on points with 16th-placed West Ham, adding to the stakes of this game.
The first half saw few clear-cut chances, with Jordan Pickford making an important save early on from a deflected Jarrod Bowen effort.
Everton grew into the game, with Beto having a flurry of chances around the 25th minute, but he failed to test Alphonse Areola.
Controversy struck just before half-time when Beto went down in the box, and Everton were awarded a penalty. However, after a VAR review, the decision was overturned due to minimal contact, leaving the game goalless at the break.
In the second half, West Ham finally broke the deadlock thanks to Tomas Soucek. The Czech Republic international produced a brilliant turn inside the box before smashing a right-footed shot past Pickford into the bottom corner.
But Everton refused to go down without a fight. Deep into stoppage time, defender Jake O’Brien popped up at the back post to nod home a superb volleyed cross from Idrissa Gueye, salvaging a well-earned point for the Toffees in dramatic fashion.

Ultimately, the points were shared after a largely uneventful 65 minutes, and it means Everton extend their unbeaten streak to nine games – their longest in the Premier League since 2017.
Meanwhile, West Ham will be mightily disappointed at throwing their hard-fought lead away so late, and missing the chance to leapfrog the Toffees in the table.
After the international break, Everton make the short trip to Anfield for the Merseyside derby, while West Ham visit strugglers Wolves.
