Arsenal produced a clinical performance at Portman Road, brushing aside 10-man Ipswich Town with a 4–0 win that delays Liverpool’s title celebrations.
Goals from Leandro Trossard (2), Gabriel Martinelli, and Ethan Nwaneri ensured a dominant afternoon for Mikel Arteta’s side, while Ipswich’s hopes of Premier League survival continue to fade.
The Gunners struck early through Trossard, who pounced on a loose ball in the box after Bukayo Saka’s driving run and a fortunate touch off Martin Ødegaard.
Arsenal doubled their lead soon after when Mikel Merino’s clever backheel teed up Martinelli to tap home from close range.
Ipswich’s task became near-impossible in the 32nd minute when Leif Davis was shown a straight red for a reckless challenge on Saka.
The hosts failed to register a shot on target in the first half and headed into the break with an xG of just 0.02, compared to Arsenal’s 1.97.
The second half followed a similar script. After Ødegaard went close and Martin Ødegaard hit the post, Arsenal found their third in the 69th minute. Declan Rice slid a pass into Trossard, who fired through the legs of a defender and past Palmer.
Late on, 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri added a fourth. After a short corner, Zinchenko teed him up at the edge of the box. The youngster weaved through two defenders before his shot deflected off Dara O’Shea and wrong-footed the Ipswich keeper.

With this win, Arsenal move 10 points behind Liverpool, who are due to play Leicester shortly after.
For Ipswich, the Championship looms. The Blues remain winless against Arsenal in 12 Premier League meetings — their most against any club without a victory.
