Wrexham travel down to the St Mary’s to face Southampton on the opening weekend of the Championship season, with their full fixtures and schedule now confirmed.
Wrexham Open Season vs Southampton as Championship Fixtures Revealed
Newly-promoted Wrexham kickstart their 2025-26 Championship campaign away at Southampton on Saturday, 9 August. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30pm.
Their first home game of the season will see them host West Bromwich Albion at the Racecourse a week after their opener on Saturday, 16 August, at 15:00.
Other fixtures include Leicester away on Tuesday, 30 September, at 19:45, Birmingham at home on Saturday, 4 October, at 15:00 and Ipswich away on Saturday, 22 November, at 15:00.
The Red Dragons meet fellow Welsh side Swansea City on Saturday, 20 December down in south Wales, before welcoming the Swans up north on Saturday, 14 March.
On Boxing Day, Phil Parkinson’s men will host Sheffield United, whom they faced in two memorable FA Cup fourth round fixtures in 2023, at 15:00.
As for New Year’s Day, they’re on the road, as they make the trip to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers. They round off the campaign against Middlesbrough in early May.
Wrexham, who welcomed new billionaire investors last year, will be hoping to hit the ground running in the second tier, having securing a third consecutive promotion last term.

Wrexham Transfer Rumours: Liverpool Youngster Linked
Liverpool youngster Owen Beck is drawing interest from Wrexham.
The former Wales U21 international is wanted by the Red Dragons on loan, however he is also reportedly a target for several Premier League clubs and Scottish side Rangers.
Beck spent last term on loan at Blackburn Rovers.
Elsewhere, Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney has been linked with Parkinson’s side. It is reported that Cairney will make a decision over his future in the coming days.
Former Wolves defender Craig Dawson is another who has been tipped to join the north Wales outfit.
In terms of confirmed dealings, Wrexham have secured the signing of Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, while Paul Mullin has headed out on loan to Wigan Athletic.
