Silverstone Beer Prices

Formula One returns to the iconic Silverstone this weekend for the always-intriguing British Grand Prix.

The festivities begin on Friday, July 4, with Free Practice 1 and 2. On Saturday, July 5, we will have Free Practice 3 before the Qualifying. And finally, the main event, the Grand Prix, will commence on Sunday, July 6, at 3:00 PM BST.

Last year, over 480,000 fans attended the three-day festival at Silverstone, with a record 164,000 witnessing home hero Lewis Hamilton winning the Grand Prix.

The 2025 British Grand Prix is set to be another chock-a-block affair, with nearly 500,000 people making their way to Silverstone. If you are one of the lucky ones trackside this weekend, SportsCasting has an all-in-one guide to help you sort out your food and drinks.

Silverstone Bans ‘Bring Your Own Booze’ for the 2025 British Grand Prix

From sky-high ticket prices to steep parking fees, watching the British Grand Prix at Silverstone has always been an expensive affair. But Silverstone’s ‘Bring Your Own Booze’ policy was there to soften the blow.

Unfortunately, things have changed this year. Fans are no longer allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages to Silverstone for the 2025 British Grand Prix. However, the organisers have confirmed that there will be dedicated stalls, as usual, to serve fans who fancy a drink or two.

Policies on Food and Non-Alcoholic Beer

Fans can bring upto a 20L bag to Silverstone for the 2025 British Grand Prix. So, yes, you can bring food into the venue for personal consumption.

Things get trickier for non-alcoholic drinks, such as alcohol-free beer and 0% cider. You can only bring non-alcoholic beer to the venue on two conditions. One, the packs are sealed and in their original packaging. Two, the security staff at the gate have cleared them for entry.

British Grand Prix 2025: Beer, Wine, Cocktail and Soft Drink Prices at Silverstone

Since fans cannot bring their own booze to the track this year, interested fans must buy from the fan zones around the track. Like almost all the famous venues in the UK, Silverstone will also charge a hefty premium for beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

A Pint of Heineken Beer Will Cost £7.85 at Silverstone

Beer is the beverage of choice for most Grand Prix-going fans in the UK. And due to the ban, they are certain to head to the fan zones in numbers to sort themselves out.

A pint of Heineken lager (5% ABV) will cost you £7.85 at Silverstone this week. Amstel comes in a little cheaper at £7.50. Those buying in groups can opt for four draught pints, costing £28.

Inch’s Cider (4.5% ABV) costs £7.50, with half a pint coming in at £4.30. Old Mout Berry is selling for £7.50.

There are also ready-to-drink beer and cider options available at Silverstone. Old Mout Strawberry & Apple costs £7.50. Expect to pay the same for Old Mout Raspberry & Pineapple.

Silverstone prices are comparable to the beer prices at Wembley, which goes on to show how expensive attending a sporting event has become in the UK.

Wine Lovers Have to Pay £9.00 to Get Their Fix at Silverstone

Unlike beer, wine options are limited at the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

So far, we have data only for Sauvignon Blanc, which is typically a dry white wine. Patrons can treat themselves to a 187ml can of Sauvignon Blanc for £9.00. However, there is a good chance that they might have to purchase a four-pack, which will cost a rather steep £36.00.

To put that into perspective, a can of Most Wanted Sauvignon Blanc costs £2.65 at Tesco. A 12-pack, on the other hand, costs just £31.00 — £5.00 cheaper than Silverstone, with thrice the amount.

If you are in the mood for celebration and want a bit of champagne, Moët Impérial Brut 75ml is worth £130.00.

Ready-to-Drink Spirits & Cocktails Cost £10 at Silverstone

Want to sip on Jack and Coke to drown the sorrows of your favourite driver’s Q1 elimination? Silverstone has got you covered.

A 330ml can of Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola will set you back £10 at Silverstone during the 2025 British Grand Prix. For the same £10, you can also get 250 ml of Absolut Vodka & Sprite, Gordon’s Gin & Tonic, or Pimm’s & Lemonade.

Soft Drinks and Non-Alcoholic Beer Costs at Silverstone: Bottle of Water Selling for £5.00

Silverstone luckily has not banned soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers yet. So, you can bring your favourite 0.0% beer to the trackside this weekend, granted it is still sealed and cleared by security.

If you do not want to go through the hassle of it all, you can get your drinks directly at Silverstone. But like everything else, it is not cheap. Starting with the simplest of all, a 500ml bottle of water costs a whopping £5.00. If you understandably do not want to pay such prices for a small bottle, we recommend bringing your own.

A 330ml can of Heinkenen 0.0 or non-alcoholic Most Wanted Sauvignon Blanc is priced at £6.00. A 330ml can of Coca-Cola or Fanta costs £3.40, while a 250ml can of Red Bull is worth £5.00.
