Madueke and Sancho Party At Wireless as Chelsea Lift Club World Cup

While Chelsea were busy overcoming PSG to win the Club World Cup on Sunday evening, Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho were seen partying at Wireless Festival.

The Blues claimed a comfortable 3-0 win in the final courtesy of a Cole Palmer brace and another goal from £55m signing Joao Pedro in front of 81,118 spectators at the MetLife Stadium.

United States President Donald Trump was among those in attendance at the match, featuring heavily in the trophy presentation alongside Fifa president Gianni Infantino.

Thanks to their triumph, Chelsea are reportedly set to earn around £84m.

Unsurprising given the Parisians’ dominance on their way to winning the Champions League this term, the UK’s best football betting sites heavily favoured them to win ahead of kick-off.

But as all of this went on, Madueke, who is still currently a Blues player, was pictured at Wireless with former Chelsea loanee Sancho instead of watching his teammates lift the title.

Carney Chukwuemeka was also pictured alongside the pair at the festival.

The trio’s attendance at the music festival has drawn criticism from Blues fans online.

Why Weren’t Madueke, Sancho and Chukwuemeka at the Club World Cup?

Both Madueke and Chukwuemeka did in fact play at the Club World Cup, with the former featuring in five out of Chelsea’s six matches on their way to the final.

He returned to the United Kingdom before the final however, as he looked to finalise a move to Arsenal. The Gunners are closing in on a £52m deal to sign the England international.

A move to the Emirates, where many have backed him to become a regular starter, could boost Madueke’s chances of securing a spot in the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

As for Chukwuemeka, he played four games for Borussia Dortmund at the tournament.

The Aston Villa academy graduate spent the second half of last term on loan with the Bundesliga outfit. He made a total of 17 appearances for the club, scoring once.

According to reports, Die Borussen wish to extend the 21-year-old’s loan for another season.

Sancho, meanwhile, has returned to Manchester United after spending last season on loan at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea opted against making his move permanent, instead opting to pay the Red Devils a £5m penalty fee to avoid keeping the 25-year-old beyond the 2024/25 campaign.

This is despite Sancho scoring crucial goals in the semi-final and the final of the Conference League, which the West Londoners won after defeating Real Betis 4-1 in the final back in May.

His return at Old Trafford is expected to be a short-lived one. The 23-time England international is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus.
