The Forest Green new kit release has been unleashed on social media – and the National League team are not getting the response they’d have hoped for.
With many Rovers fans taking to social media to say both home and away kits have been inspired by EastEnders star Pat Butcher – who loved a leopard-print top in the Queen Vic.
While others are saying new Forest Green manager Robbie Savage “loves a pink kit.” Plus, some are even suggesting “It’s the WORST kit EVER.”
Forest Green Kit Release “All That’s Missing Is The Dangly Earrings”
The Forest Green kit people have been busy this summer readying a new release in time for the kick-off to the 2025-26 season.
However, despite the National League club saying their design has been “inspired by nature”, plus adding “it’s a “bold design, Pushing boundaries and Reducing Waste.”
Their social media handle on X (FGRFC_Official) has taken a hammering.
Supporters and general football fans have responded to the Forest Green kit release in the comments. And you’ll be hard-pressed to find many that actually like it.
With some people probably double checking the date to see if it’s not April the first.
The club are claiming the new kit is the first Vegan-certified kit – which is made by Reflo. With the catchphrase “Inspired by nature. Designed to be recycled”.
However, despite the ‘vegan’ links – the new Forest Green kit releases are being likened to a wild animal – with their leopard print design.
Which is why it’s no shocker that many have made the link between the new strip and leopard-print loving Pat Butcher from EastEnders.
With fans adding – “All that’s missing is the dangly earrings” and another saying “Ironic isn’t it, that a Vegan certified kit has been inspired by a Butcher”

The Forest Green Kit Comments Didn’t End There – With New Boss Robbie Savage In The Firing Line Too
It wasn’t only the many Pat Butcher comments that fans replied with.
With others saying “Inspired by an upset stomach.”
While recently appointed manager Robbie Savage has also been the subject of some abuse linked to the new strip release.
“Robbie loves a pink kit”
“How can we get more eyes on the club? Appoint Robbie Savage and play in a pink leopard skin kit. Yep, that will do the trick!”
And the Forest Green kit abuse didn’t stop there.
“Did the Year 11 on work experience at FGR design this?”
“And the award for worst kit of the season goes to Forest Green!”
“Congratulations on having not 1 but 2 of the worst kits ever!”
“This is possibly the worst kit ever released.”

Forest Green Will Play Their First League Game In Their New Jersey Against Solihull Moors
The 2025/26 National League gets going on August 9th and Forest Green’s first game is away at Solihull Moors.
With the best football betting sites in the UK making Rovers the 11/10 favourites in that opening game.
While their first game at home to show off their new Forest Green leopard print will be on 16th August against Yeovil Town.
Last season Forest Green finished third in the National League. Finishing behind Barnet and York.
