Everton are now favourites to sign Jack Grealish from Manchester City as the England international looks set to leave the Etihad.
Grealish, 29, has struggled for minutes under Pep Guardiola in recent seasons.
In 2021, he became the most expensive British footballer of all time when he joined City from boyhood club Aston Villa for £100 million.
But while he has made 157 total appearances for City, many of those have been brief substitute cameos.
Having failed to nail down a consistent starting spot, it has been reported that the out-of-favour Jack Grealish is open to a Man City exit.
While a number of clubs have been linked, it now seems Everton are leading the race for Grealish.

Having once cost £100 million, Everton are thought to believe they could land Grealish for as little as £40 million.
The player’s wages at City may cause an issue, though.
He would likely have to accept a significant pay cut, meaning an initial loan deal is possibly more likely.
Jack Grealish Everton Odds Slashed
In recent days, the odds of Jack Grealish signing for Everton have been slashed.
At the time of writing, UK betting sites are offering evens on Grealish moving to the Toffees.
Other clubs interested include West Ham, with Hammers fan and TV personality Thomas Skinner offering a family member to Grealish if he joins the Irons.
Elsewhere, a fairytale return to Aston Villa has also been suggested. Odds for that move are currently around 5/1.
Jack Grealish Transfer Could Solve Everton’s Attacking Impotency
A huge problem for Everton last year was their goalscoring.
The Toffees netted just 42 times in the Premier League in 2024-25.
That was the lowest number of goals for anyone besides the three relegated teams.
It was this lack of attacking output that severely harmed Everton, who boasted defensive numbers on par with teams in the Champions League places.
With 44 goals conceded – the same as Manchester City and just one more than fourth-placed Chelsea – Everton could have enjoyed a much better campaign had they scored more frequently.
While not an out-and-out goalscorer, Grealish could certainly help in that department.
He does have a goal in him but his creativity and ability to draw fouls can create a huge number of chances.
Everton scored 10 set-piece goals last season, the joint seventh-most in the Premier League.
So a player like Grealish, who can fashion dangerous free kick opportunities, could be a great addition.

Since joining Manchester City in 2021, Grealish has scored 17 goals and provided 23 assists.
For Aston Villa, those numbers were 32 and 43 respectively, in 213 games.
Grealish also had a loan spell with Notts County in 2013/14. He scored five times in 39 games for the Nottinghamshire club.
To date, Grealish has 39 caps and four senior goals for England.
Primarily a left winger, he has played across the front three and in a central attacking midfield role.
On occasion, Grealish has even filled in at left-back when required.
