In between striking some US/EU trade deals when in Europe, the US president took some time out to visit some of the Scottish golf courses he owns. However, it seems the most powerful man in the world doesn’t always play by the rules – as clear footage of Donald Trump cheating at golf has emerged.
Donald Trump Cheating at Golf: Caddie ‘Throws’ President a Lifeline
Etiquette in golf is one of the things that’s stood the test of time – with many ‘unwritten’ rules when on the fairways to uphold the long tradition the sport has.
However, it seems one of the most influential men in the world thinks these rules of golf don’t apply to him.
When on a recent visit to Europe and the UK, to hold talks over US/EU trade deals and also meet the Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the president decided to play a few rounds at one of his many Scottish courses.
But in a bizarre video that’s been leaked, it looks like Donald Trump is cheating at golf.
With one of his caddies clearly throwing a ball in-play, after Trump had most-likely hit a wayward one.
One of Trump’s entourage is seen giving the president a ‘helping hand’ by picking a ball out of his pocket and throwing it back-handed near a bunker – giving Trump an easy next shot.

The video was taken from inside a building has gone viral on social media platforms and the internet.
While you can clearly see Donald Trump getting out of his golf cart, almost waiting for his caddie to throw a new ball in-play.
Suggesting the president was in on the act and knew exactly what was about to happen.
Many people took to X to discuss the incident, with one saying: “Who needs a foot wedge when you have a personal ball dropper???”
With others adding: “Such a perfect metaphor for our Commander-in-Cheat.”
“Wild… Looks like I need these fellas as Caddies with the way I hit it anymore,” another poster joked.
Not The First Time We’ve Seen Donald Trump Cheating

We don’t know if the president did hit the ball his caddie threw down. But if he did, it’s not the first time Donald Trump has been accused of cheating at golf.
Earlier in 2025, Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson hit out at Trump for cheating, when the two played a round together.
When asked who was the better golfer? The actor said responded with: “Oh, I am, for sure. I don’t cheat.”
Trump weirdly responded to the accusation by saying he’d never played with Jackson on the course.
Another actor, Anthony Anderson, also accused Trump of golf cheating back in 2016.
When on the Late Night With Seth Meyers show, Anderson said: “Trump is a great golfer. I’m not going to say Trump cheats. His caddy cheats for him.”
And when asked if he saw him cheat, Anderson also added: “Oh yes, several times. Several times.
“I mis-hit a ball – it hooked a little left about 20 yards. Trump hit the exact same shot but went 20 yards further left than mine.
“I could not find my ball in this trash. Trump’s ball had the fluffiest lie in the middle of the fairway.
“Like I say, I didn’t see Trump cheat because he was on the tee-box with me, but his ball was right there in the middle of the fairway.”
It’s also been said in the past that Trump’s caddies have been given him the nickname ‘Pele’ – due to kicking the ball so many times.
