- Draw or Rangers Double Chance @ 11/10
- Oliver Antman to Score or Assist @ 7/5
- Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/6
Draw or Rangers Double Chance @ 11/10
While they have underwhelmed in the league thus far this term, Rangers have impressed on the continent, and we’re backing this trend to continue in the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
Thus far in Europe, they have recorded two wins and a draw. Despite disappointing domestically, they are also unbeaten in all five of their competitive matches this term.
As proven last week, the Gers undoubtedly have the quality to prevail here.
Leading by three goals though, they may be happy to sit back and play for a stalemate.
This is why we at SportsCasting are tipping a double chance selection for the match result to be a draw or a Rangers win, priced by football betting sites at around 11/10.
Oliver Antman to Score or Assist @ 7/5
Rangers summer signing Oliver Antman made quite the impression during last week’s first leg.
Just 24 hours after completing his move to the Scottish giants from Go Ahead Eagles, the Finnish winger was thrown straight into the lineup and chipped in with an assist for Djeidi Gassama.
He followed that up by completing his first full 90 minutes for the club on Saturday afternoon.
Antman is expected to retain his position in the starting XI for a third successive match on Tuesday, and we’re backing him to continue impressing under Russell Martin and are tipping him to score or assist at any time, priced at around 7/5.
Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 4/6
Trailing by three goals, Plzen must go for broke in front of their home crowd in the second leg.
This will likely leave them vulnerable at the back, making them susceptible to conceding.
We do expect them to get on the scoresheet, especially as they’re at home, but given the manpower they’ll have to commit forward, we can see them being caught on the counter.
With that in mind, we’re backing both teams to score here at a price of around 4/6.
Viktoria Plzen vs Rangers Preview
Rangers travel to the Czech Republic to face Viktoria Plzen in the second leg of the Champions League third qualifying round on Tuesday with a comfortable three goal advantage in the tie.
The Gers claimed a 3-0 win over Plzen in last week’s first leg. Ex-Sheffield Wednesday winger Djeidi Gassama netted a brace, with Cyriel Dessers grabbing the third.
It followed on from a 3-1 aggregate victory over Greek side Panathinaikos in the second round.
While they have excelled in Europe, Martin’s men have been far from impressive domestically, having played out two draws to kickstart the Scottish Premiership campaign.
On the opening weekend of the season, they were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Motherwell. The Glaswegians followed that up with another 1-1 draw on Saturday, this time against Dundee.

Unsurprisingly, those in attendance at Ibrox weren’t shy in venting their frustrations.
Some on social media have even called for Martin to be removed from his post, with Celtic already boasting a four-point advantage on their Old Firm rivals.
For now, his job looks to be safe. If he is sacked though, the latest next Rangers manager odds indicate that Sean Dyche is the favourite to take over from the former Southampton boss.
Should the Gers hold on to their lead, they will face either Salzburg or Club Brugge in the play-off round. The winner of that tie will advance to the Champions League league phase.
Viktoria Plzen, meanwhile, defeated Servette 3-2 in the second qualifying round and were held to an underwhelming 1-1 draw in the Czech First League against Slovacko on Saturday.
They, like Tuesday’s visitors, have been disappointing in domestic play thus far this term.
Miroslav Koubek’s side currently occupy eighth place in the Czech top-flight, having played out one win and two draws in their opening three fixtures of the season.
Ahead of the second leg, Plzen are favoured by bookmakers to come out on top.
