Bohemians Hit Out At Counterfeit Merchandise Sellers Amid Rise in Production of Fake Kits

League of Ireland club Bohemians have hit out at counterfeit merchandise sellers amid a rise in production of fake versions of their popular kits.

Fashionable Bohemians Kits Suffer Rise In Counterfeit Production

Irish football club Bohemians have fallen victim to the rise in production of counterfeit merchandise, with sellers trading fake versions of their popular, fashionable kits online.

Bohs have released numerous jerseys that have been popular features among fashion lovers in recent years, with their 2022-23 Bob Marley-inspired away shirt among the most memorable.

Other shirts include their Dublin bus-inspired kit from 2022 and their 2024 collaboration with rock band Thin Lizzy, along with their two jerseys released alongside Dublin band Fontaines D.C.

Their Fontaines D.C. third kit is not only a fashion statement, but it has also been key in raising money for charity. The Dublin club confirmed last week that €199,000 had been raised for Medical Aid for Palestine through a donation of their own and from the sales of the kit.

Additionally, Bohemians have released an ‘Oasis jersey’ for the 2025 FAI Cup.

Unsurprisingly, the top has been spotted at countless Oasis reunion gigs this summer. Plenty more are expected to be on show when the band performs at Croke Park in Dublin this weekend.

Bohemian, who are the second favourites to win this year’s League of Ireland behind Shamrock Rovers with football betting sites, have also formed a popular collaboration with Guinness to create a kit that resembles the creamy stout.

Bohemians Statement On Counterfeit Kits

A statement on Bohs’ social pages read: “Bohemian FC is aware of a large volume of counterfeit club merchandise, specifically replica shirts, in circulation.

“Some of these items have been the subject of seizures by Customs in recent weeks.

“The club is receiving an increasing amount of queries regarding the legitimacy of merchandise from particular websites.

“The club does not sell official merchandise through any third-party websites/resellers.”

Also in the statement, they confirmed that the online store on their club website, the club store on Ballyboggan Road in Glasnevin, the merchandise units inside Dalymount Park and the Guinness Storehouse are the only locations where official club merchandise is on sale.
