Marc Guehi

Chelsea are looking to tempt Crystal Palace by offering Trevoh Chalobah plus cash in exchange for long-time transfer target Marc Guehi.

Crystal Palace are interested in Chalobah and hold him in high regard.

His successful loan spell at Selhurst Park makes Palace confident in his ability to fit into their defensive setup.

Chelsea are 5/6 with football betting sites to finish in the top four and are hoping to capitalise and secure a move for Guehi.

Chelsea to Test Palace with Chalobah Swap Deal for Guehi

One of the most reliable defenders in Chelsea’s ranks, Levi Colwill, suffered an ACL injury earlier this month. He has since undergone surgery and is now recovering. It will take him between six and nine months to return to the pitch.

With Colwill out for at least half of the season, Chelsea are in the market for a replacement. Long-term target Marc Guehi is on their radar, but Palace are hesitating to sell their captain without signing a backup.

To make matters more interesting, Liverpool are also pushing to sign Guehi this summer.

To beat the Reds to the punch, Chelsea have decided to offer Trevoh Chalobah to Crystal Palace in a swap deal. They will also add cash to sweeten the deal.

Chelsea Ready to Pay Chalobah Plus £25m for Guehi

According to Transfermarkt, Trevoh Chalobah is worth around £21 million. Chelsea are hoping they would be able to finalise the deal by offering Chalobah plus £25 million cash for Marc Guehi.

Chalobah had a decent half-season loan spell at Crystal Palace between August 2024 and January 2025.  He played 14 games for the club, scoring three goals.

Chalobah-Guehi Swap Could Be Win-Win for Both Clubs

With Marc Guehi’s future in the air, Crystal Palace want to sign a player who can slot right into the team. Having spent some time at the club, Trevoh Chalobah seems like the perfect man for the job.

Guehi, meanwhile, wants to join a club where he can regularly contend for trophies. According to reports, he prefers a move to Liverpool, but he is unlikely to pass on the opportunity to return to his boyhood club.

The 25-year-old is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, operating at the peak of his powers. A move to a club as massive as Chelsea would give him the platform he needs to grow.

The Pensioners have become a well-oiled machine under Enzo Maresca. With Guehi at the back, they would be heavily favoured to challenge for the Premier League title.
